20210236698 · 2021-08-05 ·

The present invention relates to inhibiting or preventing infection and protecting against patency complications after a blood catheter has been in a patient comprising administering to the device a pharmaceutically effective amount of a composition comprising:

(A) at least one taurinamide derivative,

(B) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of biologically acceptable acids and biologically acceptable salts thereof; and

(C) heparin at a low concentration.

Pharmaceutical composition and food composition with strains of lactic acid bacteria for improving of kidney disease and inhibiting inflammation

The present invention provides a lactobacillus strain-containing pharmaceutical composition and food composition for improving of kidney disease and inhibiting inflammation, which comprises an isolated lactic acid bacteria strain. The isolated lactic acid bacteria strain is at least one selected from a group including BLI-02 strain, CGMCC No. 15212, Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis, TYCA06 strain, CGMCC No. 15210, Lactobacillus acidophilus, VDD088 strain, CGMCC No. 15211, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and combinations thereof.

Cable and medical hollow tube

A cable includes a sheath, and a coating film covering a circumference of the sheath, the coating film adhering to the sheath. The coating film is formed from a rubber composition including a rubber component and fine particles. A static friction coefficient on a surface of the coating film is 0.5 or less. When the coating film is subjected to a testing such that a long fiber non-woven fabric including cotton linters including an alcohol for disinfection with a length of 50 mm along a wiping direction is brought contiguous to the surface of the coating film at a shearing stress of 2×10.sup.−3 MPa to 4×10.sup.−3 MPa, followed by wiping off the surface of the coating film at a speed of 80 times/min to 120 times/min and 20,000 repetitions thereof for a wiping direction length of 150 mm, a difference (an absolute value of a difference) between the static friction coefficients of the coating film before and after the testing is not greater than 0.1.

VISUALLY POSITIONED SURGERY

Methods and systems for tracking surgical tools in a three-dimensional (3D) space are described. An example method includes receiving image data captured by a single camera of a first surgical instrument, wherein the image data comprises a two-dimensional (2D) image of a second surgical instrument. Using a machine learning model, a three-dimensional (3D) position of the second surgical instrument is determined. The example method further includes determining a feature of the image data based on the 3D position of the second surgical instrument, and outputting an indication of the feature using a user interface.

Biocidally active polymer compositions

A biocidally active polymer composition formed from an oligomeric or polymeric additive and a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer is disclosed. The biocidally active polymer may further include a non-fouling and/or non-thrombogenic polymer. The biocidally active polymer provides biocidally active properties, and may also provide non-fouling and/or non-thrombogenic properties. The composition is particularly useful in articles and materials for medical applications.

Methods for promoting healing of tissue

A method for promoting healing of tissue by delivering a bioreactor into a subject is provided. The bioreactor is an enclosed housing with paracrine factor producing cells enclosed within the housing. The housing is impermeable to the paracrine factor producing cells, impermeable to immunological cells outside of the housing, and permeable to paracrine factors produced by the paracrine factor producing cells. The paracrine factors produced by the paracrine factor producing cells are released out of the housing to promote healing of the tissue.
