Antimicrobial catheters with permeabilization agents
Catheters and a method of preparation thereof comprising a catheter body and at least one connector. The catheter body has an exterior surface and at least one lumen having an aspect ratio of at least 3:1 and an intraluminal surface comprising a hydrophilic polymer layer thereon, the hydrophilic polymer layer has an average dry thickness of at least about 50 nanometers, wherein the catheter body comprises one or more permeabilization agents and one or more antimicrobial agents.
Selectively positionable catheter cuff
Devices and methods for securing a catheter with the body of a patient are generally disclosed. In particular, selectively positionable cuffs and methods for attaching selectively positionable cuffs to long-term tunneled catheters are disclosed. In one embodiment, a slidable, selectively-positionable cuff comprises an adhesive on a foldable tab. In another embodiment, a slidable, selectively positionable cuff comprises an activatable adhesive that is convertible from a nonadherent state to an adherent state beneath the skin of the patient. Additionally, the present disclosure teaches a wrappable sheet comprising a harvested extracellular matrix with an adhesive positioned on a side thereon and arranged to be adhered to the surface of a catheter so as to form a cuff. Methods of securing and/or positioning a cuff on a catheter, kits, and other embodiments are disclosed.
Filling Needle for Use in a Tube Layer for Transferring a Flowable Medium, in Particular a Pharmaceutical Product
A filling needle can be used in a tube set for transferring a flowable medium, in particular a pharmaceutical product. The filling needle has a needle end for temporary insertion in a filling vessel. Furthermore, the filling needle has a connector end for connecting the filling needle to a filling vessel, via which the medium can be supplied to the filling needle. An inner tube lumen of the filling needle is defined by an inner tube layer made of silicone. The result is a filling needle that can be manufactured inexpensively.
ANTIMICROBIAL LOCKING SOLUTIONS COMPRISING TAURINAMIDE DERIVATIVES AND BIOLOGICALLY ACCEPTABLE SALTS AND ACIDS, WITH THE ADDITION OF SMALL CONCENTRATIONS OF HEPARIN
The present invention relates to inhibiting or preventing infection and protecting against patency complications after a blood catheter has been inserted in a patient comprising administering to the device a pharmaceutically effective amount of a composition comprising: (A) at least one taurinamide derivative, (B) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of biologically acceptable acids and biologically acceptable salts thereof; and (C) heparin at a low concentration.

Dehydration device and methods for drying biological materials
This invention relates generally to a dehydration device and methods for drying biological materials to produce dried biological materials having enhanced structural properties. More specifically, the invention relates to a dehydration device and related methods for drying biological tissue to produce enhanced tissue grafts.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS INCLUDING IMPLANTABLE DEVICES WITH ANTI-MICROBIAL PROPERTIES
Systems, devices, methods, and compositions are described for providing an actively controllable implant configured to, for example, monitor, treat, or prevent microbial growth or adherence to the implant.
Hydrophilic coatings for medical devices
Lubricious hydrophilic coatings and methods of making the same.
