Dressings With Polymer Delivery
Dressings and kits for use in wound therapy and negative-pressure therapy comprising a manifold layer comprising porous open-cell liquid permeable foam and a polymer composition The polymer composition comprises a polymer and an active agent, such as collagen and oxidized regenerated cellulose. The foam may be felted. Methods of making and using the dressings are also provided.
Manifold For Medical Waste Collection System
A manifold configured to be inserted into a receiver of a medical waste collection system for filtering medical waste, including fluid, received under the influence of a vacuum provided by the medical waste collection system. The manifold includes a housing defining a manifold volume and an outlet opening near an upper aspect of the housing. The manifold further includes a filter element and a baffle wall disposed within the manifold volume. The baffle wall is arranged to define a sump region of the manifold volume, which is positioned below a lowermost aspect of the outlet opening such that fluid in the suction path is pulled from below the outlet opening, thereby reducing a level of fluid retained within the manifold when the manifold is removed from the receiver.
VACUUM DRESSING FOR USE WITH GUIDE TUBE
Vacuum dressings with a guide tube are provided for implantable medical devices that inhibit infection associated with in-dwelling devices while encouraging healing of the incision around the device. The vacuum dressings mitigate pooling of fluids that harbor bacteria from between the outer diameter of an inserted implantable medical device and the inner diameter of a guide tube and also in the cylindrical gap, between the outer diameter of an inserted implantable medical device and the inner wall of the subcutaneous tunnel, which remains in fluid communication with skin microflora. Implantable medical devices may also illustratively include a variety of catheters, such as venous access, peritoneal dialysis, and other indwelling venous access catheters that require skin penetration; cannulas; Steinman pins; Kirschner wires; and cardiac assist device lines.
DUAL-BODY DRUG ADMINISTRATION DEVICE HAVING FUNCTION OF REMOVING MUCUS FROM PARANASAL SINUS
The present invention relates to a dual-body drug administration device which administers drugs and removes mucus from the paranasal sinus through the nostrils in order to prevent or treat a paranasal sinus disease and, more specifically, to a device in which two injectors having adapters coupled thereto are integrally fixed by a fixing holder, the adapters of the fixed injectors are simultaneously brought into contact with both the nostrils, and then negative pressure is generated in the nasal cavity to pull out mucus from the paranasal sinus or administer a drug to the paranasal sinus.

SELF-CLEANING ELECTRIC NASAL ASPIRATOR
Provided is a self-cleaning electric nasal aspirator. The self-cleaning electric nasal aspirator includes a suction assembly. The suction assembly includes a suction nozzle and a storage compartment. The suction nozzle is in communication with the storage compartment. The storage compartment is configured to temporarily store nasal mucus sucked out through the suction nozzle. The suction assembly further includes a suction compartment and a storage compartment cover. The storage compartment cover is disposed at an upper end of the storage compartment. A liquid storage space is formed by being enclosed by the storage compartment cover and the storage compartment. The suction compartment is sleeved outside the storage compartment and the storage compartment cover. The self-cleaning electric nasal aspirator can prevent nasal mucus from overflowing to the surface of the self-cleaning electric nasal aspirator and has a self-cleaning function.
PORTABLE MICROPROCESSOR-CONTROLLED PERISTALTIC SUCTION APPARATUS
A portable suction pump for aspirating secretions from a patient's artificial airway includes a peristaltic pump head, a suction tube extending from a patient through the peristaltic pump head, the suction tube having a tee-fitting conduit, and a collection container having a plurality of ports for collecting patient media. A clinician has an ability to increase or decrease vacuum levels without increasing or decreasing flowrate and/or an ability to increase or decrease the flow rate without increasing or decreasing the vacuum levels. The tee-fitting conduit extends to a vacuum sensor port connecting to a vacuum sensor in communication with a processor, the processor controlling a proportional valve employed to regulate the vacuum levels.
IRRIGATION IN A PHACOEMULSIFICATION SYSTEM
In one example, a phacoemulsification system includes a phacoemulsification probe including a distal end comprising a needle, and a piezoelectric crystal configured to vibrate the needle so as to emulsify a lens of an eye, an irrigation reservoir configured to store irrigation fluid, an irrigation line extending from the irrigation reservoir to the distal end of phacoemulsification probe, a pumping sub-system configured to pump the irrigation fluid from the irrigation reservoir to the distal end of the phacoemulsification probe via the irrigation line, and a pressure damping insert disposed in the irrigation line between the pumping sub-system and the distal end, and comprising multiple paths therethrough configured to divide a flow of the irrigation fluid entering the pressure damping insert in order to dampen pressure elevations in the irrigation fluid exiting the pumping sub-system.
SUCTION AND IRRIGATION VALVE FOR A ROBOTIC SURGICAL SYSTEM AND RELATED MATTERS
A suction and irrigation valve for a robotic surgical system includes a shaft assembly, a rotary drive, and a valve assembly. The valve assembly is operatively connected to the rotary drive member and includes a valve body and a valve plug. The valve body has a first fluid inlet, a second fluid inlet, and an outlet. The valve plug is received with the valve body and is configured to rotate about a plug axis relative to the valve body to a first position, a second position, and a third position. The valve plug has at least a first conduit configured to selectively fluidly communicate with each of the outlet and at least one of the first or second fluid inlets.
EXTREMITY IRRIGATION DEBRIDEMENT BASIN
An extremity irrigation debridement basin includes a body having a floor and a sidewall extending between the floor and an upper rim. An opening is positioned opposite the floor and defined by the upper rim. A port extends through the sidewall. A shield extends upward from the upper rim of the sidewall. A recess is formed in the sidewall. The recess extends from an upper rim opening toward the floor.
