Vaginal cleansing device
The vaginal cleaning device is a lavage device that is adapted for use in personal hygiene. The lavage device is designed to reduce the risk of irritation caused by the inappropriate handling of the lavage device. This is done by eliminating the need to physically handle the dressing associated with the lavage device. The dressing is a sterile absorbent dressing that is contained within a sterile container. The dressing is removed from the sterile container using a plug and port arrangement that inserts an assumedly non-sterile plug into a port that is formed in the center of the dressing. This arrangement separates by distance the non-sterile plug from the sterile surface of the dressing. The lavage device comprises a handle, a dressing, and a sterile container.

Liquid Applicator for Delivering Vaccines
The invention relates to a liquid applicator, for administering liquids, including vaccines, to animals. In particular, the applicator is useful for delivering liquids to mouths of animals.
Catheter system
A manipulable portion of a catheter system advances out of a lumen of a catheter sheath at a distal end of a shaft, which is also within the lumen of the catheter sheath. The catheter system causes different advancement and retraction trajectories of a manipulable portion out of and into the lumen based at least upon different relative movements between the catheter sheath and the shaft. A projection and a corresponding receiver may be used to control relative positioning of the catheter sheath and the shaft, as well as to control positioning of the manipulable portion. The catheter system may control metering rates of a control element coupled to the manipulable portion during advancement and retraction of the manipulable portion. A control element of the catheter system has varying amounts of length outside a distal end of the catheter sheath during advancement and retraction of the manipulable portion.
Syringe assembly
A syringe assembly being assembled from a syringe for dispensing a dental or medical substance, and a protective cover. The protective cover has a geometrically determined, non-foldable tubular protective shaft. The syringe has a cartridge having an outlet for the substance. Further, the cartridge and the protective cover are assembled with the cartridge being received within the protective shaft. The syringe further comprises a dispensing tip that is connected to the outlet for dispensing the substance from the dispensing tip. A first seal is provided between the dispensing tip and the outlet, and a second seal is provided between the dispensing tip and the protective shaft.
Oral irrigator with back flow prevention
An oral irrigator with back flow prevention is described. The oral irrigator may include a reservoir, a base, a handle, and a one-way or unidirectional valve. The base may support the reservoir and include a pump fluidly connected to the reservoir. The handle may be positioned external the base and in fluid communication with the pump via a hose. The valve may be positioned external the base to inhibit or seal fluid from flowing from a downstream side of the valve toward the pump.
Pen-shaped torsion spring driven injection device
The invention relates to a pen-shaped torsion spring driven injection device for apportioning set dose of a liquid drug. A piston rod having an external thread is driven forward by a rotatable piston rod guide engaging the piston rod. The piston rod guide is rotated by a torsion spring encompassed between the housing and the piston rod guide. A scale drum having a thread engaging the external thread of the piston rod is provided, and the scale drum is rotated up and down the piston rod by a proximal located rotatable dose setting member cooperating with the scale drum. The scale drum thus move helically when rotated as the piston rod is held inrotatable during dose setting.
Inoculation by applying nanosecond pulsed electric fields to a biopsy and reintroducing the treated biopsy to the subject
A subject is inoculated from a disease by exposing a biopsy of a tumor or other abnormal growth to a nanosecond pulsed electric field (nsPEF). A sufficient treatment can be confirmed by detecting calreticulin on the tumor cell membranes, which indicates apoptosis occurring in the tumor cells. Treated tumor cells from the biopsy are then reintroduced into the subject. The calreticulin-exhibiting tumor cells activate the subject's immune system against the tumor, and any other like tumors in the body, and effectively vaccinates the subject against the disease. The treatment can be combined with CD47-blocking antibodies, doxorubicin, CTLA-4-blocking antibodies, and/or PD-1-blocking antibodies. The immune response may be measured at a later time. Specific electrical characteristics of the nsPEF treatments can be based on the type and/or strength of the tumor.
Filtration system for preparation of fluids for medical applications
Systems, methods, and devices for preparation of water for various uses including blood treatment are described. In embodiments, fluid is passed through a first filtration step which is effective for creating purified water and a pair of ultrafilters placed at the outlet. The ultrafilters are separated by an intervening flow path to prevent grow-through from the outlet end upstream. In embodiments, a recirculation path with an air removing filter helps to eliminate air from the ultimate product water.
High flow rate dialysis catheters and related methods
High flow rate catheters, and related methods, are useful in dialysis and other procedures. A catheter according to the invention comprises a hub and a generally elongated conduit. The conduit has a substantially continuous and smooth wall. The conduit also defines at least one lumen and has a length extending from a proximal end to a distal end of the conduit. The proximal end is coupled to a hub and the distal end has an opening in communication with the lumen. The conduit has a conical shape which tapers along the length.
