A cassette for use with an injector has a housing, and a cassette identification arrangement (cassette ID) defining a code containing information about the cassette that is detectable and decipherable by an injector. The cassette may further have an integrated cassette syringe movably disposed within the housing, for holding a drug, and a locking arrangement for interlocking the integrated cassette syringe with the housing. The cassette may further have an aperture in the housing, and a cassette cap for removing a needle shield of the integrated cassette syringe. The cassette may have an anti-bending structure to prevent bending or flexing of the cassette cap. The injector may have a processor for controlling operational parameters of the injector and a detector communicatively coupled with the processor for detecting and communicating the cassette ID to the microprocessor to decipher the code defined therein.

A method of treatment and a nasal delivery device for dosages containing dissolved gaseous carbon dioxide in saline fluid for treating head ailments includes: a) a main housing having a hollow central area containing the dosage; b) a dosage dispenser head located at the distal end of the main housing, having at least one flow channel for movement of the dosage from the main housing through the dosage dispenser head and externally of the dosage dispenser head; c) a dosage release control component located between the main housing and the dosage dispenser head to permit flow of the dosage through the dosage dispenser head in response to increased pressure against the dosage at a flow rate of less than 1 cc per second; and d) a pressure-changing moveable component located on the main housing.

TRILAYER COATED BLOOD COLLECTION TUBE WITH LOW OXYGEN TRANSMISSION RATE

An article is described including an article surface and a coating set comprising an optional tie coating or layer, a barrier coating or layer, and a pH protective layer. The respective coatings or layers can be applied by chemical vapor deposition of a polysiloxane or polysilazane precursor in the presence of oxygen. Examples of such an article are a thermoplastic syringe, vial, or blood collection tube with a coated interior portion containing a pharmaceutical preparation or other fluid with a pH of 4 to 8, alternatively 5 to 9. The barrier coating or layer prevents oxygen from penetrating into the thermoplastic syringe, vial, or blood collection tube. The tie coating or layer, if present, and the pH protective coating or layer protect the barrier layer from the contents of the syringe, vial, or blood collection tube.
