Catheter tray, packaging system, and associated methods
A tray (100) for accommodating a coiled medical device, such as a catheter assembly (700), includes a first compartment (101), a second compartment (102), and a third compartment (103). The catheter assembly (700) and devices associated with a catheterization procedure, such as syringes (701,702) containing sterile water and lubricating jelly and a specimen container (703) can be disposed within the tray. Printed instructions (1001) can be included with the tray (100). When a CSR wrap (1000) is disposed about the tray (100), the printed instructions can be placed atop the CSR wrap (1000) but beneath an outer sterile wrap (1002). The printed instructions (1001) can include a patient portion (1202) that is detachably coupled to a health care services portion (1201) such that it can be taken home with the patient after the procedure.

Urinary catheter caddy and dispenser
A urinary catheter caddy for storing a plurality of packages of urinary catheters and for holding a selected one of the plurality of packages for dispensing of the urinary catheter therefrom includes a caddy body forming a storage space sized to receive and hold a plurality of packages of urinary catheters. An access opening extends from outside the caddy body into the storage space so a user can select one of the urinary catheter packages and pull an openable end of the selected package through the access opening with the opposite end of the package remaining in the storage space. The package is opened to expose a portion of the urinary catheter and an opened portion of the package is held by a package material holder so the catheter can be pulled by the exposed portion from the opened package without contaminating the catheter.
All-purpose Drainage Catheter
An all-purpose drainage catheter which includes an all-purpose drainage catheter lumen, an extension tubing, a collection bag, a catheter hub, a Luer valve. The extension tubing inserted into the all-purpose drainage catheter lumen. The collection bag is fluidly coupled to the extension tubing. The Luer valve facilitates nephrostomy care so that when the all-purpose drainage catheter is in place urine flows from the renal pelvis into the all-purpose drainage catheter lumen, the extension tubing and the collection bag. The Luer valve employs a scalloped Luer-style male connector which, when screwed into the catheter hub, further allows urine to flow from the renal pelvis into the all-purpose drainage catheter lumen, the extension tubing and the collection bag. The all-purpose drainage catheter includes an outer catheter hub, an inner catheter hub coupled to the Luer valve at one end thereof and insertedly coupled to the outer catheter hub. A gear rack has a set of ratchet teeth and is disposed on and coupled to the inner catheter hub. A ratchet pawl disposed on and coupled to the outer catheter hub and aligned with the gear rack so that the ratchet pawl engages one of the ratchet teeth to secure the inner catheter hup to the outer catheter hub.
Prevention of biofilm formation
Antibacterial coatings and methods of making the antibacterial coatings are described herein. A first branched polyethylenimine (BPEI) layer is formed and a first glyoxal layer is formed on a surface of the BPEI layer. The first BPEI layer and the first glyoxal layer are cured to form a crosslinked BPEI coating. The first BPEI layer can be modified with superhydrophobic moieties, superhydrophilic moieties, or negatively charged moieties to increase the antifouling characteristics of the coating. The first BPEI layer can be modified with contact-killing bactericidal moieties to increase the bactericidal characteristics of the coating.
ADAPTABLE WOUND DRAINAGE SYSTEM
Provided are drainage systems that may include a drainage manifold and may be suitable for draining fluid from a tissue site. The drainage manifold may include a plurality of elongate members having a moveable end that may be adapted to configure the drainage manifold to treat a uniquely shaped tissue site. The drainage manifold may be coupled to a drainage tube with a transitional connector to provide a drainage system capable of distributing reduced pressure to the tissue site to enhance the drainage of fluids.

Steerable drainage devices
Steerable, elongated medical devices that are inserted into a patient's body are disclosed. The devices include first and second wires slidably extending longitudinally through a wall of a tube and attached adjacent a distal end of the tube. The devices also include a tension control member configured to selectively apply a tension force to the wires to bend the tube.
