Respiratory mask liner
A replaceable liner, for a respiratory mask comprising an elastic substantially tubular shaped body dimensioned to stretch around the mask cushion. The liner is made of a knitted fabric in radially-continuous tubular structure that is preferentially formed through a circular knit to create a seamless tube. The ends of the fabric tube may be hemmed, finished with a fabric or elastic welt, or otherwise finished to prevent unraveling of the knit. The seamless tubular body may be knitted from a variety of natural yarns, such as wool or cotton, or from synthetic yarns, such as nylon, polyester, spandex, or elastic, to achieve a balance of comfort and wicking of skin oils and moisture, while maintaining sufficient radial elasticity to stretch around the respiratory mask. The fabric may be treated with antimicrobial coatings to provide protection against bacteria, fungus and reduce propensity of odors/stains.
AUTO-INJECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to an autoinjector device for use in combination with a syringe, said syringe comprising a movable plunger; a needle; and a tubular needle shield. The claimed autoinjector device comprises: an elongated housing having a proximal and a distal end; a drive mechanism; a syringe holder in order to support the fragile syringe and to prevent damage to the syringe. The invention furthermore relates to a method for assembly of the autoinjector device according to the invention.
Disposable sterile cover for ear washing machines
The disposable protective cover for ear washing machines is designed to protect a patient's ear from bacteria or infection during use of the machine. The cover is a flexible, resilient tube having an open end and a reinforced ring about the open end. The opposite end of the tube is hemispherical and closed, but having a central, circular opening for ear washing solution from the ear washing machine to exit the cover and enter the ear. To place the cover on the ear washing machine's nozzle, the cover is first rolled up to form a disc and the protective cover is placed against the nozzle with the central opening aligned with the nozzle's circular outlet port. It is then unrolled as much as possible over the outer surface of the nozzle. The protective cover is disposed of after each use to prevent the spread of bacteria or infection between patients.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCKING A CONTROLLED MEDICAL THERAPY DEVICE
A system and method for controlling a locking medication dispensing device is presented herein. The dispensing device can include a housing portion and a nozzle portion that is depressible into the housing to administer a medication. The device can include a vial lock to secure a medicinal vial within the device and a nozzle lock to control administration of medication. The dispensing device can further include sensors for identifying a user such as a biometric sensor and/or micro gesture sensors. Parameters for locking the nozzle and/or vial can be configured via a physician device. Reminders, user pairing, and other user communications can be facilitated via a patient device. The dispensing device can include partial depression sensors and lock-out features to further prevent tampering. A top-loading dispensing device can include a disposable nozzle.
ELECTRICAL PLUG FOR A DIALYSIS MACHINE
A dialysis machine comprising: a power supply for providing power to the dialysis machine, the power supply including a power supply cable that includes a first ground wire electrically connected to a first ground prong; and a hydraulics system for making dialysate, supplying the dialysate to a dialysate circuit, and draining spent dialysate from the dialysate circuit, the hydraulics system including a hydraulics grounding cable that includes a second ground wire electrically connected to a second ground prong.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SENSING USAGE OF A CONTROLLED MEDICAL THERAPY DEVICE
A nasal spray device can include housing having a sensor and a nozzle having a housing interface with a graphical image thereon. The sensor can be configured to sense movement of the graphical image when the nozzle moves relative to the housing, for instance during administration of medicine from the nasal spray device. The sensor can include an infrared proximity sensor that senses infrared reflectivity from the graphical image. The infrared proximity sensor can also be used to measure distance to a surface of a vial within the housing to thereby detect insertion of the vial into the housing.
Auto-injection device
The present invention relates to an autoinjector device (10) for use in combination with a syringe (30), said syringe comprising a movable plunger; a needle; and a tubular needle shield (34). The claimed autoinjector device (10) comprises: an elongated housing having a proximal (11) and a distal end (12); a drive mechanism; a syringe holder (40) in order to support the fragile syringe and to prevent damage to the syringe. The invention furthermore relates to a method for assembly of the autoinjector device according to the invention.
SMART OSCILLATING POSITIVE EXPIRATORY PRESSURE DEVICE WITH FEEDBACK INDICIA
A respiratory therapy device having a diagonal feedback array, and methods for the user thereof.
LENTICULAR LABEL FOR A MEDICAL DEVICE
A lenticular label for attachment to a surface of a medical device to be used in a pre-set orientation is disclosed. The lenticular label has a first face with a lens structure and a second face including a lenticular graphic resulting from a composition of a plurality of images. The images are aligned with the lens structure so that a different visual impression is obtained by changing a viewing angle from which the lenticular graphic is viewed with respect to the first face. The plurality of images includes a compliance image. The lens structure is arranged such that the compliance image is visible by a user when the lenticular label is attached to the medical device and the medical device is in the pre-set orientation. A medical device with such a lenticular label, and methods of use thereof are also disclosed.
