FLEXIBLE MEDICAMENT INJECTOR AND METHOD OF USE
An injector device and method for use, and particularly a veterinary injector, is disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed toward a veterinary injector including a flexible container configured to house a medicament, a plunger configured to be slidably received within a lumen of the container, a needle, and a stabilizer at the distal portion of the container and configured to be grasped by a user. The stabilizer can include a first flap extending away from the hub in a first direction, a second flap extending away from the hub in a second direction, and a third flap extending away from the hub in a third direction.
SMALL ANIMAL ANESTHESIA SYSTEM
A small animal anesthesia system is provided, including a compressor, an anesthetizing gas generator and an anesthesia platform. The compressor has a first outlet and a first intake. The anesthetizing gas generator has a second outlet and a second intake. The first outlet of the compressor is connected to the second intake of the anesthetizing gas generator to supply gas, so that an anesthetizing gas is generated. The anesthesia platform includes a bearing plate, an anesthetic mask and a first anesthesia chamber. The anesthetic mask is configured to cover the face of the small animal, and connected to the second outlet of the anesthetizing gas generator, such that the small animal is anesthetized by the anesthetizing gas generated by the anesthetizing gas generator. The first anesthesia chamber is disposed on the bearing plate, and connected to the first intake of the compressor to recycle the anesthetizing gas.
A MULTI-USERS MEDICAL CANNABIS DISPENSER
Provided is a multi-users cannabis dispenser comprising: a vessel comprising at least two compartments, each compartment configured to contain at least one cannabis composition comprising at least one active component; at least one dispensing unit associated with said at least one compartment, said dispensing unit configured to controllably release from said compartments a metered dose of said composition contained therein; a control unit comprising a data input unit configured to receive data relating to a specific user, data indicating a metered dose of one or more said cannabis compositions to be administered to said specific user and/or to receive data relating to a specific cannabis composition, data indicating a metered dose of said specific composition to be administered to said specific user and configured to control the dispensing unit to release at least one said metered dose. Further provided are methods of use of the multi-users cannabis dispenser.
CONTROLLER AND FLEXIBLE COILS FOR INDUCING AN EFFECT OF A CHEMICAL OR BIOCHEMICAL AGENT TO A MAMMALIAN SUBJECT
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing a portable magnetic field therapy system for inducing an effect of a chemical or biochemical agent to a mammalian subject, such as for the treatment of diseases and adverse health conditions.
LIGHTING FOR ROOT GROWTH
A biological lighting system to provide temporally- and spatially-modulated photon flux output and spectral power distributions to plants on a circadian and circannual basis, or circadian and life cycle basis, to maximize effective and efficient growth in a horticultural setting. The photon flux or irradiance output and the spectral power distribution are modulated to match circadian and circannual rhythms, with individual or multiple luminaires controlled through one or more controllers. Different lighting spectra can be employed depending on the direction of illumination. The photon flux or irradiance output and the spectral power distribution may be set as best suited for any particular plant species, and the system is also useful for raising animals.
Tag based administration of pharmaceutical agents to livestock
Apparatus and method for autonomously administering a pharmaceutical agent, such as an insecticide, to an animal. A tag assembly is attached to the animal at a suitable location such as through an outer ear thereof. The tag assembly includes a reservoir to retain the pharmaceutical agent. An actuator of the tag assembly is configured to open the reservoir responsive to a control signal from a control circuit. An application mechanism facilitates a transfer of the pharmaceutical agent to the animal in response to the actuator. In some cases, the control signal may be transmitted to the tag assembly from an external source via a wireless connection. In other cases, the control signal may be generated internally using a sensor of the tag assembly. The tag assembly may include multiple reservoirs so that applications of the agent can be carried out at different times and under different conditions as required.
SYRINGE ADAPTER FOR MEDICATION
Improved apparatus for use with medication in fluid form, which is particularly beneficial for medications having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed syringe adapter has an opening that is relatively large, as compared to a conventional needle, and thus affixing the disclosed syringe adapter to a syringe improves syringeability of higher-viscosity medications. Some embodiments feature a lateral extension that prevents inserting the syringe adapter too far into a medicine bottle, and some embodiments feature a component that assists in firmly grasping. When the disclosed syringe adapter is affixed to a pistol-grip or tab-handled syringe, the medication withdrawn into the pistol-grip syringe can be more easily administered from the syringe barrel. In some embodiments, the syringe adapter will be replaced with a needle prior to injecting the medication, while in some other embodiments, the needle is affixed to the in-place syringe adapter for the injection.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SUBSTANCE DELIVERY
A system for delivering a fluid to tissue and a method of using same are provided. The system includes a tissue clip for securing a tissue fold and a tissue puncturing device attachable to the tissue clip. The system further includes a mechanism for sensing the tissue fold and releasing a safety mechanism in the tissue puncturing device so as to enable manual deployment of a tissue puncturing element from the tissue puncturing device.
INTRANASAL DELIVERY OF OLANZAPINE BY PRECISION OLFACTORY DEVICE
Methods are provided for acute treatment of agitation, including agitation in patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, comprising administering to a subject with agitation an effective dose of a dry pharmaceutical composition comprising olanzapine, wherein the dose is administered by an intranasal delivery device that provides, following intranasal administration, (a) a mean peak plasma olanzapine concentration (C.sub.max) of at least 30 ng/mL, with (b) a mean time to C.sub.max (T.sub.max) of olanzapine of less than 0.5 hours. Dry pharmaceutical compositions and devices suitable for intranasal delivery of olanzapine are provided.
Coated Urinary Catheter or Ureteral Stent and Method
A coated urinary catheter or urinary stent device includes a urinary catheter or stent which, in a deployed position, includes or defines a protective surface area and a protected surface area and a coating upon at least a portion of the protective surface area. The coating includes a lubricant and an antimicrobial and/or pH buffering material. The device is configured such that, upon application of negative pressure to the catheter or stent, tissue of a urinary tract of a patient conforms or collapses onto the protective surface area and is thereby prevented or inhibited from occluding one or more protected drainage holes, ports or perforations of the catheter or stent.
