Covalent polymer-antigen conjugated particles
The present invention provides compositions comprising tolerizing immune modified particles (TIMPs) and methods for using and making said TIMPs. In particular, carrier polymer is covalently conjugated with antigenic peptide before particle formation, which allows for exquisite control of particle size and antigen encapsulation (e.g., for use in eliciting induction of immunological tolerance).
TRANSDERMAL ABSORPTION-TYPE PATCH
A transdermal absorption-type patch (10) includes: a support material (1) and an adhesive layer (2) laminated on the support material (1). The adhesive layer (2) includes: a solid composite material (2a), the solid composite material (2a) being an active ingredient with a molecular weight of 800 or greater enclosed by a surfactant; an oil phase; and an adhesive agent, the adhesive agent containing an acrylic elastomer. The content of the acrylic elastomer is 30% to 70% by mass based on the total mass of the acrylic elastomer and the oil phase. The composite material (2a) forms a solid-in-oil type particle dispersed in the oil phase.
TARGETED TGFß INHIBITION
This invention relates generally to bifunctional molecules including (a) a TGFβRII or fragment thereof capable of binding TGFβ and (b) an antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, that binds to an immune checkpoint protein, such as Programmed Death Ligand 1 (PD-L1), uses of such molecules (e.g., for treating cancer), and methods of making such molecules.
Delivery of Active Agents
A method of introducing a physiologically-active agent into the circulatory system of a mammal is disclosed herein. The method utilizes a rapid drug delivery system which prevents deactivation or degradation of the active agent being administered to a patient in need of treatment. In particular, the drug delivery system is designed for pulmonary drug delivery such as by inhalation, for delivery of the active agents such as proteins and peptides to the pulmonary circulation in a therapeutically effective manner avoiding degradation of the active agents in peripheral and vascular tissue before reaching the target site.
TOPICAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING A PROSTAGLANDIN ANALOGUE
The present invention relates to a topical composition useful for the treatment of hair disorders such as androgenetic alopecia, hirsutism, alopecia of the eyebrows and eyelashes, and hypotrichosis.
Compositions for an orally active 1,2,4-oxadiazole for the treatment of disease
The present invention relates to specific doses of and dosing regimens for using a 1,2,4-oxadiazole benzoic acid compound in treating or preventing diseases associated with nonsense mutations. In particular, the invention relates to specific doses and dosing regimens for the use of 3-[5-(2-fluoro-phenyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-3-yl]-benzoic acid in mammals having diseases associated with nonsense mutations.
INDAZOLE-3-CARBOXAMIDES AND THEIR USE AS WNT/B-CATENIN SIGNALING PATHWAY INHIBITORS
Indazole-3-carboxamide compounds for treating various diseases and pathologies are disclosed. More particularly, the present invention concerns the use of an indazole-3-carboxamide compound or analogs thereof, in the treatment of disorders characterized by the activation of Wnt pathway signaling (e.g., cancer, abnormal cellular proliferation, angiogenesis and osteoarthritis), the modulation of cellular events mediated by Wnt pathway signaling, as well as genetic diseases and neurological conditions/disorders/diseases due to mutations or dysregulation of the Wnt pathway and/or of one or more of Wnt signaling components. Also provided are methods for treating Wnt-related disease states.
Antineoplastic Combinations with m-TOR Inhibitor, Trastuzumab and/or HKI-272
A combination of temsirolimus and trastuzumab in the treatment of cancer is provided. A combination of temsirolimus and HKI-272 is provided. A combination of a trastuzumab and a HKI-272 is also provided. Regimens and kits for treatment of metastatic breast cancer, containing trastuzumab, temsirolimus and/or HKI-272, optionally in combination with other anti-neoplastic agents, or immune modulators are described.
Methods and Compositions for Treating Thyroid-Related Medical Conditions with Reduced Folates
The present invention provides methods and compositions for treating thyroid-related medical conditions. Many thyroid-related medical conditions exist that go undiagnosed and untreated. These conditions may be prevented and treated with reduced folates and vitamin B12. Administration of reduced folates and vitamin B12 will prevent or treat cerebrospinal folate deficiency, which is linked to thyroid-related medical conditions. Administration of reduced folates and vitamin B12 will also prevent or treat conditions associated with masked megaloblastic anemia and hypothyroidism, and other conditions brought upon through improper thyroid function. Additionally, it is commonplace to treat many thyroid conditions with anti-thyroid drugs or thyroid stimulating drugs. This practice alone is also responsible for causing, or not beneficially addressing, adverse conditions that can be prevented or treated through the methods and compositions discussed herein.
INSULIN GLARGINE/LIXISENATIDE FIXED RATIO FORMULATION
The present invention refers to a pharmaceutical composition comprising (a) lixisenatide or/and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and (b) insulin glargine or/and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the compound (b) and compound (a) are present in a fixed ratio.
