Antimicrobial composition comprising Filobasidium-suppressing agent derived from natural substance

The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition derived from a natural substance. Since the composition effectively suppresses Filobasidium, an organism that has been newly identified as causing dandruff, the present invention can effectively prevent and/or treat seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff. Also, since the antimicrobial composition of the present invention includes a natural substance as an active ingredient, little consumer aversion will result. Also, it is expected that the antimicrobial composition of the present invention can be used for developing an antidandruff agent having a reduced content of materials which are typically used as antidandruff agents and the safety of which is questionable.

Formulation comprising ester quats based on isopropanolamine

Cosmetic formulations including specific ester quats based on isopropanolamine are provided, as well as the use of these ester quats in cosmetics.

COLORED METALLIC PIGMENT

A colored metallic pigment according to the present invention is a colored metallic pigment including at least a metallic pigment, an amorphous silicon oxide film layer formed on a surface of the metallic pigment, a metallic-particle-supporting layer formed on a surface of the amorphous silicon oxide film layer, and metallic particles formed on a surface of the metallic-particle-supporting layer, characterized in that the metallic-particle-supporting layer is formed of one or both of a metal layer and a metal oxide layer composed of a metal oxide other than silicon oxide, the metallic particles are formed to directly cover a part of the surface of the metallic-particle-supporting layer, and the amorphous silicon oxide film layer has a thickness of more than 500 nm.

COMPOSITION FOR INDUCING FACILITATION OF CELL REJUVENATION COMPRISING GENISTEIN OR EPIGALLOCATECHIN GALLATE

The present disclosure discloses a novel use of genistein, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), derivatives thereof, isomers thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, prodrugs thereof, hydrates thereof and solvates thereof. A composition containing genistein, epigallocatechin gallate, derivatives thereof isomers thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, prodrugs thereof, hydrates thereof or solvates thereof reduces the expression of factors related to increase of melanin producing ability, reduces the expression of senescence marker proteins and regulates the expression of enzymes involved in melanin production, and thus may have an effect of rejuvenating cells including melanocytes.

DELIVERY OF SURFACTANT SOLUBLE AGENT

The present invention is directed to a personal care composition comprising from about 14% to about 40% of one or more surfactants; from about 0.1% to about 10% of one or more surfactant soluble agents having a C log P greater than 3.0; wherein when the personal care composition is diluted to about 1.5% surfactant concentration has a ratio of surfactant diffusion coefficient to soluble agent diffusion coefficient greater than 1.2.

METHOD OF FORMING A SILICONE LAYER

A method of treating the hair including providing a concentrated hair care composition in a foam dispenser. The concentrated hair care composition includes one or more silicones, perfume, and less than 6% high melting point fatty compounds. The method also includes dispensing the concentrated hair care composition from the foam dispenser as a dosage of foam; applying the foam to the hair; and rinsing the foam from the hair. The foam has a density of from about 0.025 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.40 g/cm.sup.3 when dispensed from the foam dispenser. The one or more silicones form a silicone layer that has a normalized thickness of deposition of from about 0.001 nm/ppm to about 0.019 nm/ppm.
