HAIR REMOVAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Compositions and methods for selectively and permanently removing hair from the body. The compositions are formulated to be topically applied upon discrete areas of the body and contain an agent present in an amount sufficient to cause permanent alopecia about the area upon which the composition is applied. Exemplary of such agents include taxanes, such as docetaxel and paclitaxel, and busulfan and other agents known in the art to cause permanent chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA). The compositions and methods of applying the same are limited exclusively to transdermal application and operative to induce a localized CIA, and thus avoid systemic distribution of the CIA agent throughout the body. The compositions may further be deployed through known transdermal application mechanisms, such as transdermal patches and the like.

Solid cosmetic makeup and/or care composition
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for making up and/or caring for keratin materials, in the form of an oil-in-water solid emulsion, comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium: from 4.0% to 8.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one fatty alcohol, from 1.0% to 3.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one solid linear ester, from 2.5% to 6.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one non-ethoxylated glyceryl stearate, and from 0.25% to 0.50% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of sodium polyacrylate.

A composition containing at least one isomeric alkoxynonenol, in particular, isomeric 8-alkoxy-4,8-dimethylnon-1-en-3-ol, in an amount effective to impart a fragrance to the composition. A fragrance composition containing at least one isomeric alkoxynonenol in an amount effective to impart a fragrance to the composition. A consumer product containing the fragrance composition having at least one isomeric alkoxynonenol in an amount effective to impart a fragrance to the composition. A method of imparting a fragrance to a consumer product by adding to the consumer product a fragrance composition containing at least one isomeric alkoxynonenol in an amount effective to impart a fragrance to the consumer product.

A composition containing at least one isomeric alkoxynonenol, in particular, isomeric 8-alkoxy-4,8-dimethylnon-1-en-3-ol, in an amount effective to impart a fragrance to the composition. A consumer product containing the fragrance composition having at least one isomeric alkoxynonenol in an amount effective to impart a fragrance to the composition. Cosmetic composition comprising a superabsorbent polymer and a lamellar or platelet-shaped matting mineral filler
The present invention relates to a composition for topical application, comprising at least one aqueous phase, at least one superabsorbent polymer and at least one lamellar or platelet-shaped matting mineral filler. A subject of the invention is also a cosmetic treatment process for keratin materials, which consists in applying to the keratin materials a composition as defined above, and also the use of this composition in the cosmetic or dermatological field, and in particular for caring for, protecting and/or making up bodily or facial skin, or for haircare. The composition according to the invention has both a matt appearance throughout all the steps of its use, from the appearance of the product up to the finished skin, and a comfortable sensation throughout its use, from the application to the total penetration of the product.

Modified polysaccharides
Cationic and silicon substituents are introduced into polysaccharides thereby producing modified polysaccharides cationically substituted by quaternary ammonium groups and having a charge density of about 0.1 to about 2.5 meq/g, and further substituted by siliconate groups such that the modified polysaccharide has a silicon content of about 300 to about 5000 ppm. The modified polysaccharides have application in industrial, home care and personal care surface modifying formulations.
