An oxygen supply system providing an adequate oxygen supply mode in an aircraft. A preventive oxygen supply system includes an oxygen source, a preventive oxygen dispensing unit connectable to the oxygen source, a cabin altitude detection device, and a preventive oxygen control device provide at least the following modes: a pre-wear mode providing no oxygen of the oxygen source to the preventive oxygen dispensing unit but normal cabin air; a pre-oxygenation mode providing a predetermined rate of oxygen of the oxygen source to the preventive oxygen dispensing unit sufficient for generating a pre-oxygenation condition of the user; and a decompression mode providing high concentrated oxygen of the oxygen source to the preventive oxygen dispensing unit sufficient for ensuring a minimum oxygenation of the user. The preventive oxygen control device automatically switches to the decompression mode in case a predetermined cabin altitude threshold is detected by the cabin altitude detection device.

A humidifier assembly is configured to humidify a pressurized flow of breathable gas from a flow generator of a CPAP unit and includes a base configured to be attached to the flow generator, the base including a recess portion. A water receptacle is configured to be received within the recess portion of the base and includes a floor and a flange around an opening at the top of the water receptacle. A lid is hingedly attached to the base and is configured to pivot between an open position and a closed position. This lid includes a top wall, an outer depending wall, an inner depending wall in the form of a double wall, and an outlet pipe. A lid seal is attached to an underside of the top wall of the lid by way of a tongue and groove structure. A catch is located on the base and configured to lock the lid in the closed position.

Embodiments relate generally to methods and systems for detecting and indicating end-of-service-life in disposable filtration masks. Applicant has proposed incorporating end-of-service-life indicators comprising color changing chemicals into the mask. The indicating chemicals may be incorporated into the nonwoven fabric material of the mask, or may be attached to the nonwoven material of the mask, such as by dipping, spraying, or adhering. The color change of the indicating chemicals may indicate to a user that the use life of the mask has been depleted.

The cap portion covers each of the chambers and forms a plurality of membrane members (52), with each membrane member being positioned over and sealing a respective one of the chambers. The cap portion is made of a self-sealing material such that that each of the membrane members is structured to self-seal responsive to having a needle inserted through and pulled out of the membrane member. Also, an apparatus and a method for selectively adjusting the internal pressure of the chambers of such a cushion.
