HIGHLY CHEMICAL RESISTANT GLOVE
A chemical resistant composite glove that includes a first polymeric layer in the shape of a glove; and a second polymeric layer disposed on the first polymeric layer, and wherein the first polymeric layer is specified for one class of chemical resistance and the second polymeric layer is specified for a second class of chemical resistance, and optionally a third polymeric layer, which may be a thin coating, disposed on at least one of first polymeric layer or the second polymeric layer and is optionally specified for a third class of chemical resistance.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING UNIT HAVING PREFERABLY TEXTILE FRAGMENT PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
The invention relates to a protective clothing unit, in particular a protective clothing unit having fragment protection, preferably having a protective function against fragments created and/or released by detonation and/or explosion, comprising outerwear and/or underwear and possibly comprising separate head and/or face protection, neck protection, shoulder protection, arm protection, hand protection, trunk protection, torso protection, genital and/or anal protection, and/or leg protection, wherein the protective clothing unit has fragment protection elements, preferably textile fragment protection elements, which are specific and different from each other and which are associated with different body regions when worn and/or cover different body regions when worn, preferably having a protective function against fragments created and/or released by detonation and/or explosion.
Flame resistant thermal liners and garments made with same
Embodiments of the present invention replace relatively bulky nonwoven thermal insulating materials used in thermal liners with thin, lightweight, flexible films that maintain or improve TPP performance while reducing the thickness, and enhancing the flexibility, of the thermal liner so as to increase wearer comfort. Moreover, the films incorporated into the thermal liners can be both air and vapor permeable such that the TPP performance is not realized at the expense of THL performance. Rather, the THL performance of garments incorporating embodiments of thermal liners contemplated herein is comparable toif not improved overgarments formed with traditional thermal liners.
Vertical lift harness and turnout gear
A safety harness for vertically lifting of a user is provided. The safety harness includes an upper body harness and a lower body harness which may be positioned on liners within a coat and pants of the user, respectively. The upper body harness and lower body harness attach together to function as a Class III harness enabling lifting of a user in a vertical orientation by virtue of the harness geometry. The lower body harness alone serves as a Class II harness and the upper body harness alone serves as a drag line. The harness is particularly suited to be integrated with firefighting turnout gear for ready donning with the turnout gear.
Firefighter hood with protective flap
A firefighter hood comprising a hood body configured to fit around a head of a wearer, wherein the hood body includes a face opening configured to be aligned with a face of the wearer when the hood is worn. The hood further includes a flap coupled to the hood body. The flap is movable between an extended position wherein the flap covers only part of the opening in front view, and a retracted position wherein the flap does not cover any of the opening in front view or covers less of the opening in front view compared to when the flap is in the extended position.
Cold weather infant survival suit
A cold weather infant survival suit includes a principal body cavity having infant/baby holding attachments to fit/hold their small bodies and a coverable cranial opening. The structure of the suit includes a layered structure of mechanically interconnected cavities within cavities. A composite of tear-proof and insulation material forms an internal suit or first envelope that is surrounded by a waterproof suit and then by a tear resistant suit.
Moisture Absorbing Material for a Hazardous Material Level A Suit
The Level A hazardous material suit is designed to provide the maximum amount of protection to the individual from any substances that may irritate the skin, eyes, or respiratory systems. The Level A suit completely encapsulates the individual and provides a self-contained breathing apparatus to prevent respiratory irritants. As the person breathes and perspires within the suit, moisture accumulates within the suit and obscures the vision of the individual using the suit. This moisture will obscure the vision of the person and force the individual to leave the area. This application uses a moisture absorbing material such as silica gel to absorb this moisture to allow a more efficient use of the suit.
Protective Headwear, Garment Assembly and Method of Donning
The protective headwear and garment assembly/system facilitates the formation of a secure interface/connection/fit between the protective headwear system and (preferably) a gas mask that is intended to be worn with the garment assembly. The system includes a tensioner system that is configured to ensure a tight, secure fit between a (preferably) neoprene facial seal component of the protective headwear, and the gas mask. The system also includes a tightening element to securely fit the protective headwear to the neck and body of the user.
Flame resistant protective support bra
A comfortable size adaptable bra that provides work and sports related protection from the risk of arc flash, flash fire, combustible dust or molten splash during job or sports performance. The bra utilizes non-flammable high performance materials that combines flexible, soft to the touch material with non-flammable properties for a comfortable self-supporting job safe bra by an enhanced fabrication process.
