Protective garment usable with gas tank releasibly carried by shoulder straps and waist belt
A system is provided for a firefighter or other emergency worker and includes a protective coat and a self-contained breathing apparatus. The self-contained breathing apparatus includes a regulator connected by a high-pressure hose to a gas tank that is releasibly carried on the coat by shoulder straps and waist straps.
Personal protection device
A personal protection device for the protection of a portion of the body of a user is described. The device has an inflatable member intended to protect at least partially a zone of the body of a user. The personal protection device includes at least a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion are superimposed in a corresponding overlapping area or superimposition area. In the personal protection device the height or thickness of at least one, or each, of the first portion and the second portion is, in the overlapping area or superimposition area, smaller than the height or thickness of a remaining part of the inflatable member.
FIREFIGHTER PROTECTIVE GARMENT WITH REMOVABLE POUCHES
A firefighter protective coat has at least one exterior pocket, and each of the at least one exterior pocket has an inside portion. The firefighter protective coat includes a linking element and a carrying element. The linking element has a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end of the linking element is affixed to the inside portion of the at least one exterior pocket. The carrying element is affixed to the distal end of the linking element, and is sized to fit within the inside portion of the exterior pocket. The carrying element is from the inside portion of the exterior pocket to hang outside the at least one exterior pocket.
Temporary baseball cap radiation reflector
The Temporary Baseball Cap Radiation Reflector utilizes the low conical shape of the traditional Asian sun hat executed in a laminate of surface metal foil, woven polyethylene sheet, fiberglass mesh, and base layer of sheet polyethylene. The laminate material is reflective, durable, and maintains low conical shape in wind and over use time. Fabric attachment tapes sewn to the inside surface of the reflector are pinned or sewn to five points around the sides of the rounded-crown headgear, baseball cap. This solar reflector augments the lesser protections of most rounded-crown headgear. Even the smallest sized reflector designed for physical activity/higher wind speeds provides thermal stress relief by affecting a high degree of separation between itself and the headgear's crown, standing off from the rounded-crown headgear's crown. The close fit of rounded-crown headgear, the broad coverage of the Asian low cone, and advanced materials maximize thermal and ultraviolet protections.
HEM ASSEMBLY WITH ENHANCED ABRASION RESISTANCE
A firefighter protective garment includes an external material and at least one abrasion resistant hem assembly. The external material has an inner surface and the at least one abrasion resistant hem assembly includes a strip of reinforcing material affixed along an edge of the firefighter protective garment to the inner surface of the external material by a fastener. The fastener is embedded within the external material.
Personal protection suit
A personal protection suit has a selectively sealable hood (1) for protection against CBRN threats. In one series of embodiments, the hood (1) is separable from a jacket body (5) by a releasable attachment means (11), and has a mask hood seal (2) for sealing with a mask. In one series of embodiments the hood (1A) has a deployable face mask (60) stored within the hood (1A). The hood (1) can be removed without breaking the seal between the mask and mask hood seal (2) to minimise contamination during donning and doffing.
Cooling suit
Cooling suit including legs, torso and arms, which includes outwardly opening hose sleeve in the hip area, inwardly branching gas ducts having several outlet openings. A pressurized gas cylinder for carrying along and connecting outlet hose with coupling piece to this hose sleeve, and which comprises a valve and adjusting wheel for the regulated delivery of expanded gas into these gas ducts. The gas ducts in the upper-body have outflow openings in the area of the lower back, hips, neck area, armpits, arm joints, and sleeves. In the lower-body garment, outflow openings are arranged in the knees and the crotch area. This cooling suit is operated with a dry, compressed gas. The gas flowing from the pressure cylinder is expanded, subsequently cools down and then flows through the gas ducts and cools the body. Perspiration is carried away by the permanent gas supply via the breathable fabric of the suit.
Accessory attachments for a welding garment
A flame resistant garment, in certain embodiments, may include multiple garment portions to provide different degrees of protection for welding or another application. In one embodiment, the flame-resistant garment may include a base garment and one or more supplemental protective layers or garments. For example, the base garment may include a jacket, a vest, a coverall, a jumpsuit, an overall, pants, trousers, a smock, a hat, a hood, or a combination thereof. The protective layer may include a bib or any other suitable attachment to add further flame resistance. Further, the multiple garment portions may be coupled together via a snap fastener system, a hook-and-loop system, a button system, a zipper system, a buckle system, or a clip system, or a combination thereof.
Airbag rescue system
The invention is directed to an airbag system and, more particularly, to such a system employed as a rescue or life-saving system to enable a person to survive an avalanche, for example. In a particular embodiment, the invention relates to an airbag system utilized with a backpack to be worn by a skier, snowboarder, hiker, or snowmobiler, for example. Instead of relying upon compressed gas cartridges or cylinders to inflate the airbag(s), the invention inflates the airbag(s) with ambient air only. In a particular embodiment, air is supplied to the airbag by means of a battery-powered electrical motor.
