Face Mask Providing Filtered Intake and Exhaust Air
An air filtering mask is disclosed which includes a rigid component and a flexible component. The rigid component and the flexible component combine to form a space over a user's mouth and nostrils, to form a seal therearound and to maintain the mask in place. The mask also includes an exhaust port with an exhaust filter and an intake port with an intake filter. The mask further includes an air mover pulling exhaust air out the exhaust port, thereby drawing intake air through the intake port.
FILTER MASK WITH ACCESSORY BELT
The filter mask with accessory belt combines a filter mask with powered exhaust fans and an accessory belt for carrying protective and/or medical equipment, as well as a power source for the exhaust fans. The filter mask includes a rigid mask body having opposed outer and inner faces and at least one exhaust vent formed therein. An inhalation port is formed through the mask body, and a filter covers the inhalation port. At least one exhaust fan is mounted on the inner face of the mask body adjacent the at least one exhaust vent. At least one head securement strap is attached to the mask body. The accessory belt includes at least one pocket. A power supply is received within the at least one pocket of the accessory belt. The power supply is in electrical communication with the at least one exhaust fan for providing power thereto.
Fresh Air Delivery Systems and Methods
A fresh air delivery system of the present disclosure has a bottom base comprising a battery compartment and an air blower compartment and an upper cover comprising an air intake. Further, the fresh air delivery system has at least one tube extending that extends from an air blower in the air blower compartment and configured to extend to a user's face, and to a user's mouth and nostrils, and the at least one tube is configured to couple to the air blower, which delivers air to the user's mouth and nostrils.
Facemask Fan System
A facemask fan system is provided. The system includes a facemask comprising a flexible cover having a pair of ear loops disposed on opposing lateral sides of the flexible cover. A fan housing is removably securable to an interior surface of the flexible cover. In some embodiments, the fan housing is integral with the flexible cover, such that the fan housing extends through the flexible cover placing an interior portion of the fan housing on an interior side of the flexible cover and an exterior portion of the fan housing on an exterior side of the flexible cover. A fan is operably connected to a motor and a power source, wherein the fan, motor, and power source are disposed within the fan housing. A plurality of controls is operably connected to the motor, wherein the plurality of controls selectively toggles the motor between an activated state and a deactivated state.
Respirator with floating elastomeric sleeve
A respirator device having an elastomeric sleeve is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a respirator device as described herein includes a body including a receiver having an elastomeric sleeve and a filter cartridge that includes a rigid nozzle element. The elastomeric sleeve defines a channel, and the elastomeric sleeve is configured to deform around the nozzle element when the nozzle element is inserted into the channel.
Air-Supply Device
An air-supply device (1) for supplying breathing air into a breathing-air region (2) has at least one inflow opening (4, 6) for supplying breathing air, and also has an interior (10) and at least one outflow region (11), via which breathing air flows out into the breathing-air region (2). The inflow opening (4, 6) is connected to the outflow region (11) via the interior (10). The outflow region (11) is connected to the outflow region (11) via the interior (10). The outflow region (11) is formed on a flexible, air-permeable material (12). In order to provide for flexible use of the air-supply device (1) and to avoid any significant adverse effect to a user, provision is made for the air-supply device (1) to have a sheet-like, flexible portion (16), which has a first flat side (7) and a second flat side (8), located opposite the first. The outflow region (11) is arranged on the first flat side (7). The interior (10) is formed between the first flat side (7) and the second flat side (8). In the interior (10), at least the outflow region (11) has arranged on it at least one spacer, which prevents the outflow region (11) from butting against the second flat side (8).
Method for determining partial pressure of a gaseous constituent and regulator of breathing mask for aircraft occupant
A method for determining a characteristic such as partial pressure or percentage of a gaseous constituent in a first gas mixture flow in a flow chamber in which there is alternating flow in opposite directions between the first gas mixture flow and a second gas mixture flow. The steps may include a) introducing the first gas mixture flow into a sensing chamber when the first gas mixture flow flows in the flow chamber, b) preventing introduction of gas from the flow chamber into the sensing chamber at least when the second gas mixture flow flows in the flow chamber, c) sensing the characteristic of the first gas mixture flow in the sensing chamber.

Directional valve and breathing mask with a directional valve
A directional valve includes a fixing lug (13), which is arranged eccentrically to a valve membrane (16) and is arranged at a valve housing (15). The dimensions of the fixing lug (13) are selected for fixing the valve membrane (16) relative to the sealing surface (2) of valve seat (1). The size of the eccentric offset (x) is in a range between 8% and 15% of the axis length (D) of the greatest longitudinal extension of valve membrane (16).
System and method of oxygen deficiency warning in a powered air purifying respirator
A powered air purifying respirator (PAPR). The PAPR comprises an electric motor mechanically coupled to a blower, an oxygen sensor, an alarm device, and a controller coupled to the oxygen sensor and to the electric motor, wherein the controller controls the electric motor, wherein the controller determines if the oxygen concentration is deficient, and wherein the controller commands the alarm device to present an indication when the oxygen concentration is deficient.
