INSULATING BREATHER
The invention relates to the respiratory organs protection technical means that provide human with life support in the atmosphere unsuitable for breathing. Insulating breather with closed breathing mixture circulation loop (self-contained self-rescue, SCSR) is equipped with a cylinder (15) containing pressurized oxygen. The breather has increased effectiveness of the treatment of the exhaled gas mixture and improved quality of the inhaling gas mixture by using the breathing mixture circulation loop of the present invention and using means for simultaneous mechanical pressing on the breath-out bag (4) and the breath-in bag (8) and the additional cooling.

Face Mask with Replaceable Filter Cartridges and Components
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for face mask with replaceable filter cartridges and components. A face mask includes a mask component, a replaceable filter component, and a closure component. The replaceable filter component is bonded to and as between the closure component and the mask component when the closure component is attached to the mask component.

Respirators
A respirator (10) having an oral-nasal unit (12) with a peripheral seal that seals around the nose and mouth of a wearer's face and having an inlet aperture (40) connectable to a supply of breathable air, and an outlet aperture (42). The unit having a rigid insert (106) with an exterior profile adapted to seat against a correspondingly shaped interior surface of the unit (12); an outlet conduit (112) with a tube adapted to extend through the exhale aperture (40) of the unit (12); and a wing portion (110) with a through aperture (122) registering with the unit's inlet aperture (40). The outlet conduit (112) having a bayonet connector (130, 132) that enables the unit to interchangeably and detachably connect to, a connector formed as part of an exhale aperture of a full-face mask, or of a harness assembly (102). The bayonet connector forms an airtight seal between the two.
Respirators

Cartridge and breathing apparatus containing the same
A chemical cartridge or an oxygen generating breathing apparatus includes an outer canister and an inner canister with an interior space. At least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide that can act as an electrolyte in the presence of moisture and at least one first metallic material are provided in the interior space of the inner canister. At least one second metallic material is provided between the inner canister and the outer canister or is at least partially integrated into the outer canister wall. Between the inner canister including the first metallic material and the outer canister including the second metallic material an ion-permeable material is arranged such that the cartridge generates electrical power when in use by creating a potential between the first metallic material and the second metallic material when the at least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide is contacted by CO.sub.2 and moisture.
Cartridge and breathing apparatus containing the same
A chemical cartridge or an oxygen generating breathing apparatus includes an outer canister and an inner canister with an interior space. At least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide that can act as an electrolyte in the presence of moisture and at least one first metallic material are provided in the interior space of the inner canister. Conformal filter
A filter housing for use with a protective mask or other personal protective equipment is described including a base, a top, a sidewall connecting the top and the base, and a void that houses a filter medium or a filter medium cannister. The housing also includes an inlet with an inlet opening for receiving ambient gas into the container, an outlet including an outlet opening for discharging gas from the container to the protective mask, and an interface for removably securing the filter housing to the protective mask or other personal protective equipment. The base may include a concave surface substantially surrounding the opening and the interface, and a space between the void and the concave surface of the base may be partitioned by a plurality of members connected at least partially to the base or the sidewall and define a substantially planar surface facing the void.
Systems and methods for centrifugal force-based canister filling
Disclosed are methods, systems, canisters, and other implementations, including a method of filling a filter canister with a particulate filter material to a desired packing density comprises providing a canister having a fill opening through which the particulate filter material is introduced into the canister, introducing the particulate filter material through the fill opening, and subjecting the canister to centrifugal forces for a time until the desired packing density is reached is provided.
