11376452 · 2022-07-05 · ·

A device for the provision of oxygen masks has a closeable container for oxygen masks, an extendable arm having links coupled in articulated fashion and having an outer end, and a driving device. The outer end is coupled to at least one oxygen mask. The arm adopts a storage position in which the arm is arranged completely within the container, and an extended position in which the outer end is moved out of the container and in which the arm holds the oxygen mask at a distance from the container. The driving device is coupled to the arm and passes the links out of the container. The links enclose a pivoting range extending as far as a level juxtaposition of the links. When extended, the arm adopts the level juxtaposition under the action of gravity for the lateral spacing of the relevant oxygen mask from the container.

Regulator button cover device

A cover device for a regulator, which has a purge button and a mouthpiece connected to the regulator, includes a body having a mouthpiece housing to receive the mouthpiece through an access opening which presents a friction fit to squeeze the mouthpiece passing therethrough in a squeezed state to enter and exit a hollow interior of the mouthpiece housing. The hollow interior is configured to store the mouthpiece in a relaxed state. A button cover is connected to the mouthpiece housing to cover the purge button on a top surface of the regulator when the mouthpiece is inserted into the hollow interior of the mouthpiece housing. The button cover is narrower in width than the mouthpiece housing.

Reusable Respirator

Various reusable respirator designs are shown. In one example, a reusable respirator includes an inhalation pathway with a conduit extending from the exterior of the respirator into the nose piece allowing users to receive air directly into an inner sealed zone around a user's nose and mouth. The inhalation pathway includes a vent opening such that the inhalation pathway also directs air into a facemask zone, between the nose piece and an outer seal reducing/preventing shield fogging during inhalation. In another example, the respirator includes cartridge attachment lobes each having a different size and shape. A filter cartridge assembly can only be aligned with the lobes in one orientation, creating a robust connection. In another example, a storage bin for a reusable respirator includes a one-way film placed underneath a plurality of perforations allowing gases and moisture to escape the bin while limiting the ingress of other gases or particles.

EMERGENCY ESCAPE KIT

An emergency escape kit is disclosed. The emergency escape kit includes: an emergency escape punch having an obstacle contact portion configured to be in close contact with an obstacle such as a glass window, and configured to shatter the obstacle by pressurizing a side thereof opposite to the obstacle contact portion located between the obstacle and the side of the emergency escape punch; and a gas mask configured to be couplable to or separable from the emergency escape punch, wherein when the gas mask is coupled to the emergency escape punch, the gas mask shields a portion of the emergency escape punch from an outside of the emergency escape punch, and when gas mask is separated from the emergency escape punch and is brought into close contact with respiratory organ of a user, the gas mask prevents external poisonous gas from flowing into the respiratory organ of the user.

SCBA MASK SHIELD
20220105372 · 2022-04-07 · ·

A protective shield is provided for covering a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask or a full- face air purifying respirator (APR) lens to prevent damage and scratching. The shield consists of a die cut shape of thermoplastic sheet that duplicates the outline of the self-contained breathing apparatus mask lens and/or frame. The protective shield can be produced using various grades, colors and/or densities of material replicating limited visibility or blackout conditions. To protect the majority of the plastic lens, the shape of the shield includes a peripheral overlap onto the mask utilizing the SCBA lens frame. The shield can be attached to the self-contained breathing apparatus face mask by means of any of the following: bungee, hook, or elastic cord; all of which allows the shield to be attached or removed quickly. Many SCBA/APR training exercises require limited visibility. The invention can be used as an effective training tool to prevent light transmission and simulate extremely limited visibility.
