Fall Alerting Assembly
A fall alerting assembly for contacting emergency responders when a user falls from an elevated location includes a personal electronic device that is in wireless communication with an extrinsic communication network. A body harness is wearable on a body of a user, an attachment is movably coupled to the body harness and the attachment is attachable to a safety line. A cord is coupled to the attachment, a fall unit is integrated into the body harness and the cord is removably coupled to the fall unit. The cord breaks away from the fall unit when the user falls from the elevated location. Additionally, the fall unit broadcasts an alert signal to the personal electronic device when the cord breaks away from the fall unit to alert emergency responders to assist the user.
Fall arresting device event generation and monitoring
A fall arresting device including a device housing, a shaft within the housing, a rotor assembly rotatably connected to the shaft that includes a drum and a disc having at least one region of a ferromagnetic material, an extendable lifeline connected to the drum, a magnetic sensor positioned stationary relative to the device housing and adjacent to the disc, and a that includes a hard-magnetic material. The magnet positioned stationary relative the device housing and the magnetic sensor, where the magnetic sensor is configured to detect a change in a magnetic field produced by the magnet when the disc rotates about the shaft, the change in the magnetic field induced by the at least one region of the ferromagnetic material being brought within close proximity to the magnet as the disc rotates.
Harnesses
Harnesses for supporting a person working at height are disclosed. They include a back, leg loops, two forward connection arrangements and a flexible load-bearing member that extends between the connection arrangements, the forward connection arrangements serving to transferring load from the back and the leg loops to the load-bearing member. Each forward connection arrangement includes: a base that is permanently connected to the harness and retention components that can be removably and rigidly connected to the base to removably secure the flexible load-bearing member to the body.
Vehicle occupant restraint system
An occupant restrainment harness configured for use in conjunction with a vehicle seatbelt system, the restrainment harness having a back panel and a front panel defining together an occupant torso accommodating space, adjustably closable by a fastener mechanism configured at the front panel; wherein the back panel is configured at a lower portion thereof with a lap strap fastener arrangement configured for receiving a lap strap of the vehicle seatbelt system, and a top shoulder strap fastener buckle centrally positioned at a top portion of the back panel.
Settable Length Fall Arrest Device
A fall arrest device (10) includes a drum (1) configured to have a safety line (2) wound thereon, a speed responsive engagement assembly (3, 4, 6) arranged to inhibit rotation of the drum (1) above a predetermined rotational speed, and a traveller (30) configured to move in response to rotation of the drum (1). The traveller (30) is configured to activate the speed responsive engagement assembly (3, 4, 6) when a predetermined length of safety line has been paid out. This allows a user to be restrained from the edge of a worksite or other location where a fall may occur.
Fall Protection Compliance System and Method
A fall protection compliance system includes a connection structure configured for interfacing an anchor structure and a connection sensor associated with the connection structure. The connection sensor includes an accelerometer or a pressure switch, where the connection sensor is configured to monitor continued connection of the connection structure to the anchor structure over a period of time and to output a signal indicating said continued connection.
Method for discharging granular powder brought into fixed state inside hollow structure
A rack rail is suspended into a silo from an opening formed in a ceiling portion of the silo and a lifting body is lowered into the silo along the rack rail from the opening. A work scaffold is built on the lifting body using a part carried into the silo from the opening, a worker connected to the work scaffold with a safety belt pokes and breaks down a granular powder in a state where a discharge port of a silo bottom portion is closed, the poked and broken down granular powder drops to a rat hole (or boring hole), the worker connected to the work scaffold with the safety belt adds a rack rail in a state where the rat hole is blocked with the granular powder, the discharge port is opened to discharge the granular powder stored in the passage, and then the work scaffold is lowered to the added rack rail.

Tensioning device
A tensioning device could be used in many different applications such as but not limited to a combination safety harness and tensioning device. The tensioning device could be a positioning device and a strap tensioner for the safety harness. The combination safety harness and tensioning device could be used with any suitable tensioning device.
Closure system
A closure system for a line-engaging device is herein disclosed. The closure system comprises a latch for securing the line-engaging device in a closed position by engaging with one or more of a plurality of keepers in the device body. The configuration of the latch and the keepers is such that transition from a closed position of the closure system to an open position of the closure system may only occur following two or more actuations of the latch, this may reduce the probability of unintentional disengagement of a line or cable from the device.
