FIRE EXTINGUISHING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF
A fire extinguishing device includes a pressure fire extinguishing agent and an accommodating space (1) capable of storing the fire extinguishing agent. A lot of cut-through ejecting openings (2) are defined in an outer wall of the accommodating space (1), and the ejecting openings (2) are plugged by plugging pieces (3) made of a pressure-resistant meltable fireproof material. In the case of a local temperature rise or an open fire of the target in an airtight or semi-airtight space, the plugging piece (3) on the ejecting opening (2) is melted to make the ejecting opening (2) cut through, the pressure fire extinguishing agent stored in the accommodating space is further ejected from the ejecting opening (2) to suppress a fire point or a high temperature point of the target, therefore the fire is controlled at the first time.
TEST CELL FOR AN AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINE
A test cell for an aircraft turbojet, wherein the test cell comprises a U-shaped configuration, with a passageway in the form of an elongated corridor, an inlet chimney, and an outlet chimney. The corridor includes a securing area with a securing arm for holding the turbojet during its test. The passageway furthermore reveals an upstream shutter and a downstream shutter, the two shutters including one pivoting flap or a series of pivoting flaps. In the event of a fire, the shutters close due to autonomous return means. Gravity allows the flap(s) to come down to the closed position and to confine the turbojet in order to rapidly stifle the fire.

METHOD FOR EFFICIENTLY TREATING SPONTANEOUS IGNITION OF REMAINING COAL IN LARGE AREA GOAF OF SHALLOW-BURIED COAL BED
A method for efficiently treating spontaneous ignition of the remaining coal in a large area goaf of a shallow-buried coal bed, which method integrates leaking stoppage, airflow control and fast inerting and cooling so as to efficiently prevent and treat the spontaneous ignition of the remaining coal in the large area goaf of the shallow-buried coal bed.
FIRE SPRINKLER WITH PRE-DEFLECTOR FLOW SPLITTER
A fire protection sprinkler system and method includes a sprinkler which, in use, is operatively connected to a supply pipe. The sprinkler includes a nipple. A frame extends from the nipple. A duct passes through the nipple and frame creating a flow path for a water jet exiting the supply pipe. A deflector is mounted to the frame at a location spaced from the nipple. A splitter is disposed in the water flow path between the supply pipe and the deflector. The splitter separates the water jet into two distinct sub-jets before the water contacts the deflector. The splitter directs the two separate water streams onto the deflector so that less pressure is required resulting in more economical system smaller pipe size, less labor, etc.
Fire containment device and kit
The invention is a container having an opening at one end and a flap or other closure to close the opening, the interior of the bag includes a liner filled with free-flowing expanded glass granulate having fire extinguishing properties, the liner is compartmentalized to separately retain the free flowing granulate to defined regions of the bag interior and it is formed from a sacrificial material that is combustible and will disintegrate upon exposure to the heat of a fire whereby when a electronic or other device that has caught fire is placed inside the bag, the free-flowing expanded glass granulate contained by the liner is caused to be released onto the device to extinguish the fire.

Device, system and method for fire prevention in an operating room
Provided herein are devices, systems and methods utilizing flow of a medically safe inert gas to prevent fires in operating rooms during electrosurgical procedures. A device is disposed around or proximate to or integrated into the tip of an electrosurgical instrument or tool and is in fluid contact with a source of a medically safe inert gas. The gas is flowed around or envelopes the tip as the electrosurgical instrument or tool is utilized. The presence of the medically safe inert gas displaces oxygen, thereby preventing or suppressing fires that may be ignited by sparks generated during use of the tool.

Dryer appliance having a fire extinguishing system equpped with a multiway inlet valve
A dryer appliance that includes a fire extinguishing system is provided. In one aspect, the dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet. The drum defines a chamber for receipt of articles for drying. The dryer appliance includes a water inlet valve in fluid communication with a steam nozzle operable to deliver water into the chamber to form mist or steam. The dryer appliance also includes an extinguisher nozzle in fluid communication with the chamber of the drum and with the water inlet valve. Upon detection of a fire, water is provided to the extinguisher nozzle and the extinguisher nozzle directs a stream of water into the chamber to extinguish the detected fire.
