A dry sprinkler assembly for fire suppression uses a tube within a pipe element to maintain a spring loaded valve in a closed position at the end of the pipe element connected to a piping network. The tube is held against the biasing force of the valve's spring by a plug, part of a temperature sensitive trigger assembly mounted on the opposite end of the pipe element.

Systems and methods of low clearance storage fire protection

A fire protection system includes a plurality of fluid distribution devices coupled to the fluid supply pipes to define four fluid distribution devices above a floor. The fluid distribution devices generate a spray pattern overlapping one another to define a rectangular fluid distribution area 2.5 ft. The rectangular area having a first pair of edges extending parallel to the fluid supply pipes and a second pair of edge extending perpendicular to the first edge. The fluid distribution devices are axially aligned above a corner of the rectangular area, the fluid distribution area defined by a grid of one square foot areas totaling an area no more than 12 ft.×8 ft., the rectangular area of fluid distribution having a total fluid density of at least 60 gpm/sq. ft., the rectangular area including a first zone of fluid distribution of a 4 ft.×4 ft. area.

FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR SLOPED COMBUSTIBLE CONCEALED SPACES

A fire protection system is provided for a space having a pitched roof constructed of structural members extending from a ridgeline to an eave, with respective channels therebetween. A first row of sprinklers is mounted to a first branch line extending generally parallel to the ridgeline. Each sprinkler is positioned within a respective channel, with consecutive sprinklers spaced apart having no less than one, and no more than five, channels therebetween. A second row of sprinklers, downslope from the first row, is mounted to a second branch line extending generally parallel to the first branch line. Each sprinkler thereof is positioned within a respective channel, with consecutive second row sprinklers spaced apart as in the first row. Each second row sprinkler is also placed within a different channel from each first row sprinkler. A farthest number of channels between a first row sprinkler and a second row sprinkler is three.

IGNITION-SUPPRESSING TAPE AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION

An ignition-suppressing tape for sealing cut edges of polymer panels, the tape having a backing strip and a sealant strip that is disposed on a portion of a surface of the backing strip, and a pressure sensitive adhesive is disposed on other portions of the same surface of the backing strip.

Fire Suppression Assembly

A fire suppression assembly includes a dome that is positionable over a stove top or a cooking pot in which a fire has started. The dome is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit oxygen from feeding the fire thereby facilitating the fire to extinguish. A receiver is coupled to and extends away from the dome. A handle is pivotally coupled to the receiver to be gripped for placing the dome over the stove top or the cooking pot. The handle is positionable in a first position has the handle extending upwardly from the receiver. Conversely, the handle is positionable in a second position has the handle extending laterally away from the receiver.

STOVETOP SAFETY SYSTEM
20220010964 · 2022-01-13 ·

A cooking device safety system includes a stovetop cooking device with a first sensor to detect the presence of an object on or adjacent to a burner; a second sensor to detect a condition of the burner; a transceiver to send a signal from the first and/or the second sensor to a remote device; a microcontroller with a timer; and a signal output device. A method for providing a safe cooking device environment includes detecting a status of a cooking device and detecting the presence of an object on or in the cooking device. When the cooking device has an activated status and an object is detected, the system detects whether a threshold cooking time has been exceeded. If the threshold has been exceeded, the system produces an alert via a signal output device; and/or sends an alert to a remote device; and/or inactivates the cooking device.
