SPRINKLER HEAD

A sprinkler head for a sprinkler system including a pipe section, a sealing member provided over a pipe section discharge opening, an abutment connected, to the pipe section via a support element, and thermal release element disposed between the abutment and sealing member. A triggering means controls active thermal triggering of the thermal release element and includes an electrical circuit board having a controller, an electric power supply, and an electrical conduction path along the thermal release element. The electrical circuit board is in electrical contact with the sealing member and support element. The abutment and sealing member are electrically connected to the electrical conduction path. Current fed by the power supply through the support element, the abutment, the electric conduction path, and sealing member is produced by means of the controller, causes active heating and thus a triggering of the thermal release element.

The system includes an intake assembly upstream of a pump within the bucket which selectively uses an outer port for drawing water outside of the bucket into the system and an inner port for drawing water from within the bucket into the system. A polymer gel port is interposed between the intake assembly and the pump for combination, mixing and activation of a water and polymer gel emulsion combination within the pump. A fill assembly is provided downstream of the pump which can selectively direct water back into the bucket. A discharge assembly is also provided downstream of the pump which leads to a nozzle or other outlet for water and/or polymer gel emulsion from the system. A control valve selects between delivery of water and/or polymer gel emulsion back into the bucket through the fill assembly or out of the bucket through the discharge.

SYSTEM FOR PROACTIVELY FORMING AND MAINTAINING ENVIRONMENTALLY-CLEAN CHEMICAL FIRE PROTECTION ZONES OVER THE PROPERTY SURFACES OF A NEIGHBORHOOD OF HOMES

A system for forming and maintaining GPS tracked and mapped environmentally-clean chemical-based fire protection zones formed over property and ground surfaces in and about a neighborhood of homes, that proactively inhibit fire ignition and flame spread when exposed to wild fire. The system includes a GPS-tracking anti-fire (AF) liquid spraying system wirelessly connected to a wireless communication network supporting a network database. The GPS-tracked anti-fire liquid spraying system is used to spray particular GPS-specified ground surfaces in and about the neighborhood, with an environmentally-clean anti-fire chemical liquid so to form environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones over the GPS-specified property surfaces, while generating GPS-coordinate and time/date stamped data records pertaining to the application of the environmentally-clean anti-fire chemical liquid spray during the formation of the environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones. The GPS-coordinate and time/date stamped data records are transmitted over the wireless communication network for storage in the network database. A mobile computing system is used to access the GPS-coordinate and time/date stamped data records from the network database, relating to the formation of the GPS-specified environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones, so as to verify that the GPS-specified environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones were formed at the GPS-specified property surfaces on the particular date, to proactively inhibit fire ignition and flame spread when exposed to wild fire.
