The present invention provides stretchable laminates with a flat appearance on the visible surface. The laminates comprise a textile layer, a functional layer, and a plurality of elastic fibers. The plurality of elastic fibers are in a substantially parallel arrangement and the internal distance between adjacent fibers does not exceed the maximum fiber spacing, which depends on laminate thickness in a stretched state. Also provided are garments and footwear comprising the stretchable laminates and methods of producing the stretchable laminates.

Connection device, control box component and fracturing apparatus

A fracturing device includes a power unit, and the power unit includes a muffling compartment, a turbine engine, and an air intake unit. The air intake unit is communicated with the turbine engine through an intake pipe and configured to provide a combustion-supporting gas to the turbine engine; the air intake unit is at a top of the muffling compartment and the muffling compartment has an accommodation space, the turbine engine is within the accommodation space. A fan is further provided to generate wither positive pressure or negative presser in the muffling compartment to facilitate a cooling of the turbine engine.

Dry sprinkler

A dry sprinkler is provided that includes a conduit with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a valve positioned near the fluid inlet and a fire sprinkler head that is positioned near the fluid outlet. The fire sprinkler head is operably connected to the valve by a tie. When the fire sprinkler head reacts to an elevated temperature condition, the tie is engaged and is operable to open the valve. In a normal state, before the fire sprinkler head reacts, the tie can be unbiased toward the fire sprinkler head. The tie can also be non-rigid and/or in a non-compressed state within the conduit. The conduit of the dry sprinkler can be flexible.

Intelligent temperature and pressure gauge assembly

Intelligent temperature and pressure gauge assemblies (52) for use with vessels (24) having pressurized hazard suppression materials therein include temperature and pressure sensors (136, 138) coupled with a digital processor (72) with associated memory for storing empirical temperature and pressure data. The data includes normalized linear temperature-pressure curves consistent with static or slowly changing temperature conditions experienced by the vessels (24), as well as nonlinear temperature-pressure curves consistent with rapidly changing temperature conditions. In use, the assemblies (52) repeatedly sense temperature and pressure conditions of the hazard suppression material and compare sensed values with stored values, and generate an output in conformance with the comparison. In this fashion, the assemblies (52) compensate for rapidly changing temperatures without generating false failure signals.

OPTIMISING FIRE PROTECTION FOR AN OFFSHORE PLATFORM
20190209882 · 2019-07-11 ·

An offshore oil and gas platform 14, 16 has equipment and piping associated with an oil and gas installation. A method for optimising fire protection for the platform 14, 16 comprises: arranging the platform 14, 16 to have an evacuation time of at most 15 minutes or less using one or more evacuation route(s) via a gangway or bridge 136 allowing personnel to escape to a vessel or to another platform 14, 16; determining a maximum evacuation time for the platform 14, 16; assessing the risk to personnel using the evacuation route(s) in accordance with the determined maximum evacuation time in the event of a fire; and providing passive fire protection to equipment and/or piping on the platform 14, 16 in order to prevent escalation of the fire that would create a risk to personnel on the evacuation route(s) during the determined evacuation time.
