The present invention concerns an apparatus for loosening fiber material packed in bales, comprising a conveyor region for conveying the fiber material along a conveyor direction. The conveyor region includes a feed portion, a buffer portion and a discharge portion. A first roller arrangement is arranged in the transitional region between the feed portion and the buffer portion and a second roller arrangement is arranged in the transitional region between the buffer portion and the discharge portion.

Shredder for shredding agricultural products, such as bales of straw, the shredder comprising: a shredding device (20) for shredding the loaded agricultural products and a blowing device (5) for blowing the shredded agricultural products from the shredding device (20) toward and through an outlet opening (3), wherein the blowing device (5) comprises at least two blowing elements (21a, 21b), wherein the two blowing elements (21a, 21b) are arranged rotatably about their respective blowing rotational axis, wherein rotating the blowing elements (21a, 21b) about their blowing rotational axis causes the shredded agricultural products to be blown from the shredding device (20) toward and through the outlet opening (3).

A system for processing plant materials is described. The plant materials have at least plant stalks, and the plant stalks comprise at least bast fibers. The system has a crusher module for disrupting the plant materials without breaking or damaging the bast fibers thereof, thereby obtaining disrupted plant stalks and a first plant-remainder; a decorticator module coupled to the crusher module for separating the disrupted plant stalks into bast fibers as a first product and a second plant-remainder; and a screening module coupled to the decorticator module for separating at least the second plant-remainder to microfibers and hurds as a second and a third product, respectively.

Wrap material supply systems for delivering wrap material from a wrap material roll for application around crop bales include a baler housing containing a baling chamber, a drive roll rotatably mounted to the baler housing, and a pivoting frame coupled to the baler housing at a first pivot point. A feed roll is rotatably mounted to the pivoting frame and positioned to engage the wrap material roll. The wrap material supply system further includes a drive belt, which, when tensioned, transmits rotation from the drive roll to the feed roll. An actuator is controllable to rotate the pivoting frame about the first pivot point to move the feed roll relative to the drive roll, tension the drive belt, and initiate feeding of the wrap material from the wrap material roll into the baling chamber.

A hay bale feeder is described. Embodiments of the hay bale feeder include a frame, one or more bale support members, and a pair of spaced apart drum assemblies. The hay bale feeder can be implemented to shred a square hay bale. The hay bale feeder can typically be attached to a tractor or other vehicle. The pair of spaced apart drum assemblies can include a pair of drums having protrusions that are adapted to shred a square hay bale as the square hay bale is gravity fed to the pair of drum assemblies.

An apparatus and method for processing blocks or bales of feed includes a movable mixing bin and a store room with a fixed floor for one or more rows of the blocks or bales of feed. A separator is configured to feed the full length of a cutting face which extends downwards from the top of the block or the bale. A conveyor is configured to move the separator in the direction of the cutting face. A discharger moves separated feed to the mixing bin.
