Elastic resistant training apparatus and methods
09802072 · 2017-10-31 · ·

An exercise apparatus and method for applying one or more lateral resistive loads to drive, swing and other phases to participants while performing complex motions at low or high speeds to condition one's body to better and more quickly perform physical movements at high speeds. Elastic members may be used to generate resistance emanating from a ground-based or vertically-positioned apparatus. The elastic members may connect to one or more body parts simultaneously. The apparatus may be mechanically designed to fully retract the elastic members into the apparatus to maintain resistance while participants are in close proximity to the apparatus. The apparatus provides a plurality of self-contained elastic members and provides participants the ability to alter the vertical and horizontal positions of each elastic member's emanation point from the apparatus. This provides ability to control applied resistance vectors between the attachment point on the participant and the apparatus.

Rebound and balance training device

A rebound and balance training device includes a frame, a footboard, and a plurality of resilient spring elements extending between and attached to the frame and the footboard to support the footboard above a supporting surface. A user standing on the footboard manually effects repeated vertical bouncing movement between upper and lower positions. The distance traveled by the footboard, the effort required to effect movement, and the stability thereof may be modified by selectively modifying the number, the length, the position, or the elasticity of the resilient elements. In one embodiment, a pair of footboards is employed to simulate skiing movements.

Dip Fitness Device

A dip fitness device for performing dip exercises is provided. The dip fitness device comprises a central shaft having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis. A base is secured to the first end of the central shaft. A first dip bar having a first end and a second end is provided with the first end of the first dip bar rotatably secured to the second end of the central shaft. A second dip bar having a first end and a second end is provided with the first end of the second dip bar rotatably secured to the second end of the central shaft. The first dip bar and the second dip bar are rotatable in a horizontal plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the central shaft. The first dip bar and the second dip bar are releasably securable at a desired angle relative to each other.

A playground apparatus comprises a frame adapted to rest on a ground surface, the frame comprising a pair of laterally opposed outermost sides having first ends arranged towards an outermost end of the frame and second ends opposed to the first ends, wherein the outermost sides taper inwardly towards the first ends. Monkey bars are supported by the frame above the ground surface that comprise a plurality of graspable rungs arranged in a row. The playground apparatus also comprises a pair of upright support poles, wherein uppermost sections of the upright support poles are connected to the frame towards the first ends such that the uppermost sections are laterally inwardly disposed relative to the second ends. Lowermost ends of the upright support poles extend outwardly away from one another and towards the outermost end to increase a surface area of the ground surface engaged by the upright support poles.
