Airbag module
An airbag module comprises a control unit, a source of electric current managed by the control unit, a container wherein a gas is stored under pressure, and a hollow body with an inlet duct, in which an outlet of the container sealed by a pierceable membrane is tightly fitted, and an outlet duct on which an inflatable bag is tightly assembled. The airbag module further comprises an actuator assembly configured to pierce open the membrane sealing the container, said actuator assembly comprising a piercing member movably restrained to the body and at least one linear shape memory alloy wire actuator member that is electrically connected to the source of electric current and operably restrained to the piercing member so as to cause it to move beyond the pierceable membrane.
Fall restriction device
A fall restriction device is provided that includes a rope and a connector that has a rope connector base. A latch is retained by the rope connector base. The connector has a rope connector with an aperture and the rope is disposed through the aperture. The rope connector has an engaged position in which the rope connector is retained to the rope connector base. The rope connector is moved from the engaged position by being moved along the rope connector base and by being rotated relative to the rope connector base.
Device for inflating multiple envelopes
A portable safety device (100) for inflating multiple envelopes includes at least one inlet for surrounding air (1), at least one inflation system, at least one enriched air or gas zone, at least one nonreturn valve (2), at least one connector (3) connected to the at least one inflatable envelope (4). The device also includes at least one separation wall (8), which compartmentalizes at least the end of at the connector (3) opening into at least two substantially hermetically independent inflatable envelopes (4).
Adjustable roller system for rope rescues and rope climbing
A rope guide is provided for use in rope rescues and rope climbing. The guide includes a frame comprised of two legs, pivotally connected at the inner ends so that the outer ends can be adjusted between substantially open and substantially closed positions. A lock pin secures the frame in a selected pivotal position. The mouth of the frame between the outer ends of the legs can be positioned over an object, such as a rail, a building edge, or a rock so as to protect the rope from contact with such objects.

Snow burial survival mask
A snow burial survival mask has an exhaust tube connected to a headgear. An intake port of the exhaust tube is positioned adjacent to a breathing portion of the headgear in order to intake exhaled carbon dioxide (CO2)-rich air. An air pump connected to the exhaust tube pump the exhaled air from the intake port to an exhaust port away from the user's face, extending survival time in a snow burial situation. At least one burial detection sensor such as a motion sensor, light sensor and/or CO2 sensor is configured to activate the air pump based on detection of a burial event.
Modular attachable airbag compartments for whole-body avalanche protection system
In one example, an airbag attachment unit (AAU) includes a body that defines an airbag compartment, an airbag disposed in the airbag compartment and configured to be selectively deployed from the airbag compartment, a closure mechanism configured to releasably close the airbag compartment, a tube at least partly disposed within the airbag compartment and connected to the airbag, and the tube having a quick-connect coupling mechanism configured to mate with a corresponding element of an airbag inflation system, and a portion of an attachment mechanism connected to the body and configured to releasably engage a corresponding portion of an attachment mechanism of an article of clothing such that the airbag attachment unit is detachably connectible to an exterior of the article of clothing.

Load sharing snap-linkable safety rigging plate
A load sharing snap-linkable safety rigging plate preferably includes a rigging body, a first gate, a second gate, two first pivoting locks and two second pivoting locks. The rigging body includes a base portion, a first open gate loop and a second open gate loop. A plurality of openings are formed through the base portion. The first and second gates are pivotally engaged with first and second ends of the base portion. The second gate is pivotally engaged with a second end of the base portion and an opposing end is retained by an end of the second open gate loop. The first two pivoting locks are pivotally retained on a first end of the base portion to prevent the first gate from opening. The second two pivoting locks are pivotally retained on a second end of the base portion to prevent the second gate from opening.
