Ball for ball game and method of manufacturing the same

A golf ball including a spherical body, first regions, and second regions. The spherical body includes a core layer and a cover layer made from a synthetic resin covering the core layer. Dimples are formed in a surface of the cover layer. First regions that are electrically conductive are formed on a surface of the spherical body. The first regions are formed on a spherical surface having a center of the spherical body as a center. The first regions are positioned at six vertices of an imaginary regular hexahedron such that the vertices are positioned on the surface of the spherical body and, thus, six of the first regions are formed. The second regions are formed in areas of the surface other than where the first regions are formed. The second regions have a radio wave reflectance lower than that of the first regions.

GOLF BALL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

A golf ball is provided which suppresses twisting due to external forces while maintaining sufficient deflection at the time of impact, reduces the spin rate without lowering ball rebound, and is thus able to effectively increase the distance traveled by the ball, particularly on shots with a driver. In the golf ball, which includes a core and a cover, the core has a core body made of a first polybutadiene rubber and having a surface with a plurality of groves or holes thereon, which grooves or holes are filled with a second polybutadiene rubber of a differing composition from the first polybutadiene rubber. The polybutadiene rubber-filled groove portions or hole portions have a higher surface hardness than the core body.

METHODS FOR MAKING GOLF BALLS HAVING HETEROGENEOUS LAYERS AND RESULTING BALLS
20170296881 · 2017-10-19 · ·

Methods for making multi-piece golf balls having an outer cover, intermediate, or other layer comprising a heterogeneous composition are provided. The heterogeneous composition comprises a mixture of Compounds A and B. For example, the compounds can be different polyurethanes, ethylene acid copolymer ionomers, polyesters, polyamides, or any other suitable materials for making golf ball layers. Compounds having different hardness levels can be used. For example, the composition can comprise a mixture of hard and soft materials. The invention also encompasses golf balls made from such methods. The golf balls have good resiliency and impact durability along with other optimum playing performance properties.

A sport ball may include a casing and a bladder located within the casing. The casing may include a plurality of panel elements joined to each other with welds, and portions of the panel elements that include the welds may project toward an interior of the ball. A method of manufacturing a sport ball may include providing a plurality of casing elements that include a thermoplastic polymer material. Edges of the casing elements are welded to each other to join the casing elements. The casing elements may then be turned inside-out through an aperture formed by at least one of the casing elements, and the aperture may be sealed.
