Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads
Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having an interior cavity, a front portion, a back portion, a toe portion, a heel portion, a sole portion, and a top portion. A face portion is attached to the front portion to enclose the interior cavity. The golf club head may further include a port on the body portion that is connected to the interior cavity. A first mass portion may be coupled to the body portion such that the port is configured to receive the first mass portion to close the port. A second mass portion may be coupled to the body portion and include a different material than a material of the first mass portion. The maximum width of the interior cavity may be below a horizontal midplane of the body portion and above the port. The interior cavity may be at least partially filled with a filler material from the port. The interior cavity may at least partially extend over the port at a location of the maximum width. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
Golf club head customization
A method of customizing a golf club, wherein the method includes generating operating data representative of a user operating a mechanical device. The operating data is generated by a first sensor sized and configured to be removably positioned in a mounting port formed on the mechanical device during operation of the mechanical device. The sensor is interchangeably positionable in the mounting port with at least one mass insert, the at least one mass insert being adapted to be interchangeably positioned in the mounting to provide at least two different mass configurations. The method further includes determining a recommended configuration of the at least one mass insert specific to the user based on the operating data generated by the sensor, and transmitting information representative of the recommended mass insert.

Rigidity characteristics measurement device
Provided is a rigidity characteristics measuring device that measures the rigidity characteristics of a golf club head. A head fixing jig holds the golf club head with a face surface facing upward. A linear bushing causes an impact rod to drop vertically toward the golf club head. The impact rod is equipped with an acceleration sensor. A computer calculates the rigidity characteristics, e.g., a CT value, of the golf club head, based on a detected value of the acceleration sensor.
Putter with bi-material shaft
A process for manufacturing a putter with a bi-material shaft is disclosed herein. The putter comprises a putter head, the bi-material shaft, a mass member and a grip. The bi-material shaft comprises a body with a tip end and a butt end. The body comprises a metal section extending from the tip end to a connection point, and a composite section extending from the butt end to the connection point. The mass member is positioned within an opening at the butt end of the shaft. Mass from the shaft is transferred to the club head and the mass member in the butt end of the shaft.
MID ARMLOCK PUTTER AND GOLF GRIP
A putter type golf club includes a putter head with a ball striking face, a shaft attached to said putter head, and an elongated grip attached to the shaft. The elongated grip includes a lower section, an upper section and a cap forming a butt section at the upper area of the grip, the lower section of the elongated grip including a shaft opening at a lower end thereof, the lower section of the elongated grip structured to accommodate the hands of a golfer, the upper section of the elongated grip having a leading edge located in a direction toward and closest to an intended target with the putter head in a normal position prior to executing a normal putting stroke.
Golf club
A golf club having unique mass properties and all the benefits afforded therefrom.
GOLF CLUB FITTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF GOLF CLUB FITTING
A golf club fitting apparatus and a grip for helping with golf club alignment are provided. The golf club fitting apparatus may be attached to a golf club and provide fitting information including effective lie angle and effective loft angle. An angle indicator is disposed at a predetermined angle relative to a shaft axis of the golf club so as to rest in a neutral position when the golf club is in a normal address position. A grip is provided that may be attached to a golf club shaft such that a butt end and/or distal end of the grip have a surface that helps with golf club alignment. A grip is provided with a front portion having edges that help with golf club alignment.
GOLF BALL IMAGING FOR GOLF ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
Golf entertainment venues with a computing system configured to optically identify and track graphical images located on golf balls hit by players. The graphical image located on a golf ball can be associated with a player and the computing system can assign the player a score when that player's golf ball successfully arrives at a target area. In some embodiments, the graphical images can be printed on the golf balls using, for example, a single pass inkjet printing technique. In some embodiments, the computing system can be configured to sort golf balls based on optically identified graphical images.
GOLF CLUB HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT ASSEMBLY
A set of golf club heads includes a first golf club head having a first loft and a second golf club head having a second loft greater than the first loft. The first golf club head includes a first striking face defining a first striking face plane and a first weight assembly including: a first weight, a first cover, and a first fastener. The second golf club head includes a second striking face defining a second striking face plane and a second weight assembly including: a second weight, a second cover, and a second fastener. The first and second fasteners are respectively controllably movable along first and second fastener axes, and a smallest angle between the second fastener axis and the second striking face plane is smaller than a smallest angle between the first fastener axis and the first striking face plane.
