Wave producing method and apparatus
A method and apparatus for generating a wave in a body of water may include altering a flow of water as it is urged through an inlet, contoured passage, and outlet. For example, a primary flow of water may be altered so that one or more secondary flows are created at angles to the direction of primary flow.
Computer implemented American soccer training and evaluation method and system
A computer-implemented American soccer training and evaluation method that includes subjecting a drilling user to pre-defined drilling protocol(s) of a plurality of American soccer drilling assemblies and obtain, from each pre-defined drilling protocol(s) of the plurality of American soccer drilling assemblies and from at least one sensor on each of the assemblies, at least one user physical characteristic of the drilling user. The user physical characteristic is communicated to an administrative server over a network, where it is stored and used to create a drilling user performance profile having individualized performance comparisons with respect to the at least one user physical characteristic of the drilling user and a performance benchmark. Then, the drilling user performance profile is communicated to at least one of a plurality of electronic computing devices of a plurality of consuming users for evaluation and review.
Hip engagement device and method of use thereof
A method is provided for preventing back injuries related to sport motions or swings that includes setting an attachment height of a distal end of an elastic of a warmup and training device, the attachment height set to define an angle α backwards from vertical above center of a practice motion specific to a sport to be practiced, attaching a handle to a proximal end of the elastic where a type of the handle corresponds to the sporting activity to be performed, performing the practice motion while holding the handle and stretching the elastic, and returning to the beginning of the practice motion to repeat the activity.
ERGONOMIC HELD WEIGHT UNITS, RELATED COMPUTING DEVICE APPLICATIONS AND METHOD OF USE
Hand held weight units of light weight manufactured as a solid unit, a shell unit with core insert combinations or modular units with interlocking ends. Shell units with core inserts and modular interlocking units allow for the changing of held weight by inserting or removing inserts or by locking or unlocking of modular weight unit sets creating varying held weight. The weight units are primarily used with upper body exercises during aerobic exercises in the home, outdoors, or in a gym setting such as walking or running to vary the intensity of workout during use.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
The present technology relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of easily setting a frame for starting predetermined processing in a moving image of a play in a ball game.
The information processing apparatus includes: an analysis unit that detects a trajectory of a ball in a first moving image; and a start frame setting unit that sets a start frame for starting predetermined processing among frames of the first moving image on the basis of a detection result of the trajectory of the ball in the first moving image. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a system that analyzes a rotation characteristic of a serve in table tennis.
Baseball and Softball Alignment Training Device for Hitting
A baseball or softball alignment training device comprising a first leg having a general length and having a first end at one end of the general length and a second end at the distal end opposite from said first end. A second leg having a general length and having a first end at one end of the general length and a second end at the distal and opposite from said first end. Aa first hinge member carried by the second end of said first leg. The first hinge member having a first abutment edge. The second hinge member carried by the second end of the second leg. The second hinge member having a second abutment edge. The first and second hinge members pivotally interconnected and wherein the first abutment edge of the first hinge member abuts the second abutment edge of the second hinge member at a position wherein the first leg and the second leg are perpendicular to each other forming a right angle.
NON-SPHERICAL AND MASS SHIFTED ATHLETIC TRAINING BALL
A non-spherical training ball for training a pitcher to throw a ball with proper technique is provided. The training ball has a hollow body having a spherical surface forming a spherical cap having a height greater than the radius of the sphere from which the spherical cap is formed and a substantially planar surface forming the spherical cap plane. Sidewalls form the hollow cavity of the hollow body, the sidewalls have a spherical surface sidewall portion forming the spherical surface of the hollow body and a planar surface sidewall portion forming the substantially planar surface of the hollow body. The sidewall thickness of the planar surface sidewall portion has a thickness greater than the sidewall thickness of the spherical surface sidewall portion.
Method and apparatus for fastening of inflatable ride surfaces
A system, apparatus, and method for constructing or providing a ride surface for an amusement attraction, such as an inflatable surfing attraction. The ride surface may be formed via the connection of a plurality of ride surface portions or segments. A mechanism may be incorporated to smooth the ride surface and define a more continuous ride surface between the plurality of ride surface portions or segments.
Treadmill with continuous pull force on user
The present invention relates to a novel treadmill with elastic band aided system to drive the tread belt. The elastic band aided system includes at least one of the foot attachment, hand attachment, and waist attachment. This elastic band aided system can be used in manual treadmills and motorized treadmills.
Method of manufacturing an artificial climbing structure
A method for manufacturing an artificial climbing structure comprises: a) providing a framework, suitable for supporting the artificial climbing structure; b) mounting at least one structural panel on the framework; c) providing at least one covering panel, comprising patterns; d) mounting the covering panel on the structural panel in a removable manner; e) mounting at least one climbing hold on the covering panel; and f) fixing the climbing hold to the structural panel, through the covering panel, and in a removable manner.
