Exercise mat with textured inserts
An exercise mat comprising: a base layer; a top layer comprising at least one pre-determined removable mat layer section; and at least one textured insert adapted for insertion into a gap in said top layer, wherein said gap is defined by the removal of said at least an one pre-determined removable mat layer section; wherein said at least one textured insert provides for a tactile sensation when a user applies pressure thereonto.
Rehabilitation exercise device
A mouse-type rehabilitation exercise device includes a mouse body on which a hand is mounted, a wheel moving the mouse body, a first motor aligning a position of the wheel such that the mouse body moves to a desired direction, a second motor rotating the wheel such that the wheel aligned by the first motor moves to a desired position, a clutch disposed between the second motor and the wheel to enable and disable a power transmitting to the wheel from the second motor, and a controller controlling a driving of the first motor, the second motor, and the clutch.
Exercise and Massage Device
An exercise and massage device that includes a first cylindrical member having two end portions and an interposing central portion which is rotatable relative to each of the end portions, a second cylindrical member having a central bore adapted to receive the first cylindrical member; and a releasable catch member adapted to laterally constrain the second cylindrical member at a central region of the first cylindrical member while the two end portions are exposed such that the exercise and massage device is operable as an abdominal exercise device. The first cylindrical member is operable as a first muscle massage device.
Pneumatic joint separator for lower body alignment
A leg muscle, abdominal muscle, and spinal exercise device adapted for imparting curvature to a lumbar or sacral spine of a user and for manipulating the spine and intervertebral discs with decompression force includes a frame for placement on a floor. The frame has a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the top surface and bottom surface are in a spaced apart relationship forming a hollow portion there between. At least one inflatable bladder is carried by the top surface of the frame. A body strap attachment passes through the frame in non-fixed relationship and is partially disposed within the hollow portion for encompassing the user's thoracic-sacral spinal region and securing said frame. An elongate stirrup strap member is attachable to the body strap attachment thereby connecting to the user's spinal region. A stirrup is attachable to the stirrup strap member distal end.
WALK THERAPY STATION
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a walking therapy station having multiple right linkages and multiple left linkages, where at least one of the right or left linkages is operably coupled to an actuator to transition the station from a standing mode to a walking mode. In an illustrative example, the station may have five right linkages and five left linkages, with a set of knee pads and foot pads. The station may include an actuator operably coupled to transition the station between walking and standing modes, for example. Various embodiments of the station may enable a user who is disabled or paralyzed to transition from sitting position, to a standing position, and then to a walking position, and provide the user with a very accurate gait and walking motion without putting excessive shear and pressure at the contact points between the station and the user.
Vibrating fitness ball
A fitness ball has first and second hemispheres, which are connectable to form a complete sphere. The first hemisphere supports a motor having a pair of rotatable eccentric masses at opposite ends of a common drive shaft. The second hemisphere supports a rechargeable battery pack, electronic circuitry and indicators LEDs. The electronic circuit controls the charging of the battery pack and also selectively provides electrical power from the battery pack to the motor to control the rotational speed of the motor to rotate the eccentric masses. The rotating eccentric masses cause vibrations that are communicated from the motor to the two hemispheres. The vibration frequency is controlled by the rotational speed of the motor. The hemispheres have outer covers having a configuration that is easy to grip such that the vibrations are communicated to a users hands. The ball is substantially balanced about an equatorial plane.
Combination therapeutic and exercise system
An active exercise and therapeutic system for promoting physical motion, balance and coordination and importantly a variety of therapeutic modalities to a user's foot or feet. The system includes a training apparatus having a stationary base member operatively interconnected with first and second rotating platforms mounted thereon. The first and second rotating platforms are adapted to receive, respectively, the foot of an individual to stand thereon such that each foot can rotate independently about a separate axis. Stationary base member with rotating platforms mounted thereon can further be positioned upon a specialized mount operative to impart a further range of motion or specific orientation. In further embodiments, the rotating platforms may be provided with a variety of functional modalities, such as calorie counting, distance travelled, and the like, or a therapeutic modality, such as heat, cold or pressure sensation to impart a therapeutic effect to the user's feet.
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE TRAINING AND THE THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT AND/OR FOR SUPPORTING THE LOWER EXTREMITIES OF A HUMAN
A device for the therapeutic treatment and/or training of the lower extremities of a human having driven and controlled movement devices which are connected to a stationary frame and comprise holding members for fastening of one extremity. The holding members can be moved independently of one another along walking trajectories, wherein the movement devices each comprise a pivot arm pivotable into different elevations, the pivot arm being rotatably connected to one single sled on a linear track. A first rotational drive is attached to a single sled and is connected to the pivot arm for changing the elevation of the respective holding member. The pivot arm comprises a second rotational drive for changing the inclination of the respective holding member and the sled is connected to a linear drive for changing the longitudinal position of the respective holding member.
HYPERTHERMIC CONDITIONING CAPSULE
A self-contained, hyperthermic conditioning unit and selectively controllable environment for exercising. The unit comprises a base portion having a bed therein and a removable cover connected to the base portion to enclose a personal compartment within the unit. One or more heating elements provide heat to the personal compartment and one more pieces of physical exercise equipment are provided within the personal compartment.
DEVICE FOR PERFORMING PHYSICAL EXERCISES, IN PARTICULAR FOR MOTOR REHABILITATION EXERCISES
A device for physical exercise for motor rehabilitation includes a body formed of a casing with at least a part made of a translucent flexible material, the body having an inner chamber and at least one opening, a closing element, housed in the opening, on which at least a pressure sensor, a light source, a control unit and a battery are mounted, in which the pressure sensor is positioned so as to detect the pressure in the inner chamber and in which the control unit is configured to receive the measurement of the pressure value and to control the activation state of the light source according to the parameter.
