Electrical impedance spectroscopy for non-destructive, real-time, tracking of relative water content and stress responses in plants
Methods and apparatus for electrical impedance spectroscopy for non-destructive, real-time, tracking of relative water content and stress responses in plants.
PLANT POLLINATION COVER BAG
A plant pollination bag including a bag made of a flexible material, a pouch formed out of one or more additional pieces of material fixed to the wall of the bag, where a space is created between the at least one additional piece of material and the wall of the bag; at least one of a releasable closure and a tear line fixed to the one or more additional pieces of material and the wall of the bag, where the one or more of a releaseable closure and a tear line is adapted to seal the space between the one or more additional pieces of material and the wall of the bag; an elongated piece of material attached to the at least one of a releasable closure and a tear line, where the elongated piece of material is designed to extend from the interior of the bag to a location outside of the bag, where the elongated piece of material is further adapted to allow a user to at least one of A) open the releasable closure and B) tear the tear line from outside of the bag. The system of the preferred embodiments is preferably designed to one or more of assist in the pollination of a plant, capture seeds dropped by the plant, and prevent cross-pollination of the plant by unintended plants.

A SEEDING DEVICE TO SEPARATE SMALL SEEDS FOR GARDENING INTO MEASUREABLE INCREMENTS FOR PLANTING
A seeding device is provided. That seeding device includes a seeding paddle having a plurality of seed holders and a seed tray having a channel. The channel receives the seeding paddle so that seeds in the seed tray are easily directed into the plurality of seed holders. The paddle may then be removed from the seeding tray for planting seeds in a desired quantity at the desired spaced locations.

ONLINE DATA MARKET FOR AUTOMATED PLANT GROWTH INPUT CURVE SCRIPTS
This disclosure describes techniques that facilitate the sale and exchange of plant growth systems to consumer plant growers. Particularly, a script offering system may act as an intermediary medium that allows merchants to advertise plant growth scripts to consumer plant growers via an electronic marketplace. In some examples, the script offering system may allow merchants to advertise plant growth scripts to consumer plant growers that have expressed an interest or need for a particular plant growth script. In other examples, the script offering system may allow a consumer plant grower to solicit merchant bids for the sale of plant growth script. A consumer plant grower may solicit bids for plant growth scripts that address specific needs identified via key word inputs or sensor data attributable to an existing plant growth operation that exhibits less than optimal plant growth.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR PHENOTYPING PLANTS
An apparatus and methods for imaging and phenotyping of plants. Plants are placed in an enclosure having an access door and a floor. A turntable is disposed on the floor of the enclosure. A side view camera assembly attached to a frame of the apparatus is configured to capture images of a plant placed on the turntable. An overhead view camera assembly attached to the frame above the turntable is configured to capture images of a plant placed on the turntable.

HI-FIDELITY COMPUTER OBJECT RECOGNITION BASED HORTICULTURAL FEEDBACK LOOP
Infrastructure and methods to implement a feedback loop for a horticultural operation are disclosed. Image capture devices are deployed on a per plant or near per plant basis, and upload images to image analysis server. The image analysis server applies image preprocessing to the uploaded images, and then applies image analysis to identify plants and plant artifacts. Where artifacts indicate an issue with a plant, a course of action to remediate is identified. Static analysis techniques, sequential analysis techniques, and adaptive techniques are some of the techniques enabled and disclosed by the application of object recognition techniques to horticultural applications. Images may be associated with a plant state vector to enable complex comparison operations.
PLANT PROVENANCE AND DATA PRODUCTS FROM COMPUTER OBJECT RECOGNITION DRIVEN TRACKING
This disclosure sets forth systems and techniques that trace plant provenance and determine a likelihood of plant spoilage within a plant growth operation. Particularly, a plant health monitoring system may monitor and record plant growth data of one or more individual plants during a plant life cycle from germination through to harvest. The plant growth data may include data relating to environmental conditions that surround the individual plants, and plant-specific data drawn from time-lapse images captured during the plant life cycle. A plant grower may use the time-lapse image data to identify changes in plant structure that indicate the degree of health of an individual plant, or the encompassing batch of plants. Further, a plant grower may use the plant growth data to generate one or more financial instruments that may be distributed to one or more financial institutions as support for securing capital to fund the plant growth operation.
