Plant growth with radiation-based mildew and/or bacteria control
A solution for controlling mildew in a cultivated area is described. The solution can include a set of ultraviolet sources that are configured to emit ultraviolet and/or blue-ultraviolet radiation to harm mildew present on a plant or ground surface. A set of sensors can be utilized to acquire plant data for at least one plant surface of a plant, which can be processed to determine a presence of mildew on the at least one plant surface. Additional features can be included to further affect the growth environment for the plant. A feedback process can be implemented to improve one or more aspects of the growth environment.
Method and apparatus for substantially isolating plant tissues
The present invention discloses and claims methods and devices for the rapid mechanical isolation of monocot plant tissues suitable for transformation or tissue culture. The invention includes mechanical devices for substantially isolating target plant tissues for use as transformable explants, and propagation of transgenic plants and plant tissues.

Method and Apparatus for Automated Plant Necrosis
A method of real-time plant selection and removal from a plant field including capturing a first image of a first section of the plant field, segmenting the first image into regions indicative of individual plants within the first section, selecting the optimal plants for retention from the first image based on the first image and the previously thinned plant field sections, sending instructions to the plant removal mechanism for removal of the plants corresponding to the unselected regions of the first image from the second section before the machine passes the unselected regions, and repeating the aforementioned steps for a second section of the plant field adjacent the first section in the direction of machine travel.

Detection of plant diseases with multi-stage, multi-scale deep learning
In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining a first digital model for classifying an image into a class of a first set of classes corresponding to a first plurality of plant diseases, a healthy condition, or a combination of a second plurality of plant diseases; obtaining a second digital model for classifying an image into a class of a second set of classes corresponding to the second plurality of plant diseases; receiving a new image from a user device; applying the first digital model to a plurality of first regions within the new image to obtain a plurality of classifications; applying the second digital model to one or more second regions, each corresponding to a combination of multiple first regions of the plurality of first regions, to obtain one or more classifications, the multiple first regions being classified into the class corresponding to the combination of the second plurality of plant diseases; transmitting classification data related to the plurality of classifications into a class corresponding to one of the first plurality of plant diseases or the healthy condition and the one or more classifications to the user device.
Method and apparatus for the management of a soil pest or pathogen
A method for the management of a soil pest or pathogen includes a source of high voltage electricity; at least one capacitor for storing the high voltage electricity; a multiplicity of electrodes inserted into a soil location having a soil pest and/or pathogen to be managed; and an electrical switch which is controllably opened and closes so as to form a pulse of electricity which is passed through the soil location and between the electrodes so as to effect the management of the soil pest and/or pathogen.
