Basketball shot practice station with court projection mapping
A basketball shot practice station with movable positioning of the backboard and basket relative to a stationary shooting position of a user. A projection-mapped court image is projected on the floor of the station from the viewpoint of the user based on the basket position. Cameras image the shooter and the ball flight. A control system analyzes the shooter's technique and ball trajectory, categorizes the shot results, and automatically adjusts the basket position to produce a given success rate by the user. It stores a profile of each user, and updates the user's shooting statistics and skill level based on the shot results of each session. It initializes the profile with a default skill level based on initial input data. It may estimate a user's age, height, and strength based on their image and weight. It increases the shot distance and backboard angles with increasing skill level.
MOTOR ASSISTED SPLIT-CRANK PEDALING DEVICE
Split-crank pedaling devices and methods of operation support patient use and rehabilitation, particularly for stroke patients. A split-crank pedaling device includes first and second crank assemblies. First and second motors are operably connected to the first and second crank assemblies. A first shaft sensor produces an indication of a position of the shaft of the first crank assembly. A second shaft sensor produces an indication of a position of the shaft of the second crank assembly. A controller is communicatively connected to the first and second motors and the first and second shaft sensors and calculates a phase error between the positions of the first and second shafts and a predetermined phase relationship between the first and second shafts. The controller operates at least one of the first motor or the second motor to provide a supplemental torque to one of the first crank assembly and the second crank assembly.
Methods and apparatus for virtual competition
A system configured to be coupled with a participant of an activity. The system comprises: a participant activity monitoring unit configured for monitoring a performance of the activity by the participant; an activity information module configured for storing performance information corresponding to the activity; and a participant performance correlator configured for delivering comparative performance data based on the monitored performance of the activity by the participant and the stored performance information.
AUTOMATED TRAINING AND EXERCISE ADJUSTMENTS BASED ON SENSOR-DETECTED EXERCISE FORM AND PHYSIOLOGICAL ACTIVATION
The invention(s) described are configured to process sensor data in order to optimize or otherwise improve training of users for achievement of goals in relation to performing an activity. The invention(s) can also iteratively adapt training in a personalized manner, with assessment of training results and subsequent modification of training regimens, in order to provide improved alignment between users and their goals. Such iteration can drive interventions provided to users throughout the course of training, and allow the system to iteratively develop better and more precise interventions (e.g., through manual means, through machine learning models with generated training and test data). Such iteration, with large datasets applied to populations of users can also increase the breadth of user states that the can be addressed, with respect to provided interventions, and improve rates at which interventions are provided.

Monitoring and tracking athletic activity
Tracking and monitoring athletic activity offers individuals with additional motivation to continue such behavior. An individual may track his or her athletic activity by completing goals. These goals may be represented by real-world objects such as food items, landmarks, buildings, statues, other physical structures, toys and the like. Each object may correspond to an athletic activity goal and require an amount of athletic activity to complete the goal. For example, a donut goal object may correspond to an athletic activity goal of burning 350 calories. The user may progress from goal object to goal object. Goal objects may increase in difficulty (e.g., amount of athletic activity required) and might only be available for selection upon completing an immediately previous goal object, a number of goal objects, an amount of athletic activity and the like.
SYSTEM FOR FACILITATING MONITORING OF FITNESS DEVICES
A system for facilitating monitoring of fitness devices is disclosed. The system may include a plurality of sensors configured to be attached to a plurality of fitness devices. Further, the system may include a plurality of transceivers communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors. Further, the system may include a plurality of local processing devices communicatively coupled to each of the plurality of sensors and the plurality of transceivers. Further, the system may include a server computer. The server computer may include a server communication device configured for communicating with the at least one transceiver. Further, the server computer may include a server processing device communicatively coupled with the server communication device. Further, the server processing device may be configured for analyzing the sensor data and generating at least one insight. Further, the server computer may include a server storage device communicatively coupled to the server processing device.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK
Systems and methods provide feedback to at least one participant in a field of play. A performance analysis device determines performance information of each participant in the field of play, where the performance information is based upon at least one of determined location, speed, path, acceleration and biometrics of said each participant. At least one output device provides real-time feedback to the at least one participant based upon the performance information. The real-time feedback comprises performance information of the at least one participant and/or performance information of one or more other participants in the field of play.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FITNESS AND VIDEO GAMES
In some aspects, an application is provided that is adapted to execute on at least a first mobile device. The application is adapted to (a) track information regarding a user of the mobile device; (b) create an avatar based on the tracked information; and (c) employ the avatar to provide pre-emptive warnings to assist in avoidance of unwanted behavior by the user. Numerous other aspects are provided.
