A sports gear carrying assembly includes a front plate that is worn on a user's back. The front plate has a plurality of front plate apertures extending therethrough. A back plate is coupled to the front plate and winter sports gear is positioned on the back plate. The back plate has a plurality of back plate apertures extending therethrough. An extension unit is slidably positioned between each of the front and back plates and the extension unit is laterally extendable a selected distance away from the front and back plates for accommodating a variety of widths of winter sports gear. A plurality of belts is each extended through a selected pair of the front and back plate apertures for securing the winter sports gear on the back plate. Each of the belts is matable to themselves to form a closed loop. A harness is coupled to the front plate and the harness is worn over the user's shoulders thereby facilitating the winter sports gear to be carried on the user's back.

SNOWBOARD BENCH

A snowboard bench and a method of using the same. The snowboard bench includes a footboard assembly and a backrest spaced a distance away from the footboard assembly. The footboard assembly includes a substantially horizontally-oriented platform and at least one ramp angling downwardly to the snow surface upon which the bench stands. A footboard extends outwardly away from the platform and is oriented at an angle relative to the platform. The snowboard bench may be positioned proximate a top of a chairlift. A snowboarder slides up a ramp and onto the platform with one foot strapped into a binding. They can hold onto provided handrails to steady themselves. The snowboarder may position their rear end against the backrest and place their snowboard on the angled footboard. Bending over they can strap their second foot into the snowboard's bindings and then slide down the ramp and back onto the snow.

Sport-boot pressure monitor and method of use

A sport-boot pressure monitoring system and method of use. The system includes a left boot sensor having a left flexible fluid-containing bladder shaped to fit between a user's left leg and an interior surface of a left boot worn by the user and a left pressure sense element in pressure-sensing communication with the left flexible fluid-containing bladder, a right boot sensor that is similar to the left one, and a controller to provide a pressure alert if pressure between one of the user's legs and the interior surface of the boot worn on that leg violates a predetermined pressure threshold and to provide a proximity alert if a distance between the left and right boots violates a predetermined proximity threshold.

Slip prevention apparatus and method for snow equipment

Certain embodiments of the invention provide a slip prevention apparatus for snowboard and ski equipment. In certain embodiments, the slip prevention apparatus lifts the ski or snowboard off the ground or snow to temporarily immobilize the ski or snowboard. In certain embodiments, the slip prevention apparatus creates a point of traction, while providing a stable platform to stand while strapping into bindings. Certain embodiments include a stop element that provides a point of traction. Certain embodiments of the invention include a retractable tether. Certain embodiments of the invention provide various types of stop elements. Certain embodiments of the invention include a cord having a magnet on an end, and a corresponding magnet attached to a stop element. In certain embodiments, when the user has finished strapping in, the retractable tether returns a stop element to a secure position.

A novel security tether includes an intermediate flexible substrate, a first loop, and a second loop. The first loop is fixed to a first end of the intermediate flexible substrate and is switchable between a closed position and an open position. The first loop further includes a lock to retain the first loop in the closed position when engaged. The second loop is a fixed, closed loop that is coupled to a second end of the intermediate flexible substrate and is configured to allow the first loop to pass therethrough to create a secondary loop to encircle an anchor object. The first loop can be closed around an object to be secured, thereby securing the object to be secured to the anchor object when the lock is engaged. The security tether is conveniently portable and particularly useful for securing skis to an anchor object.
