THE MASONIC RACK

A device which is capable of tightly organizing billiard balls into a diamond or triangle pattern of various sizes. The inventive device consists of two sides which are fastened together in a fixed sixty degree position and a floating third side. The two fixed sides and the floating third side are interlaced which allows the third side to move freely along a plane. The interlacing ceases at the ends of the fixed sides which prevents the floating third side from breaking free from the fixed sides. When laid flat on a billiards table the floating third side can be used to firmly press the billiard balls together into a desired pattern. The floating third side swivels from a center bolt, and can be locked into position by a pin or latching mechanism. In one position the device can organize the billiard balls into a triangle pattern of various sizes. In another position the device can organize the billiard balls into a diamond pattern of various sizes. An accurate angle for the diamond pattern of balls is achieved by protruding arms which emerge from the back of the floating third side. When the floating third side articulates the arms join. Once merged, the arms can be locked into position by pin or latching mechanism. In the case of a pin, the same pin can be used to lock the floating third side straight so it can be used to make the triangle pattern.

An apparatus and method of use for assisting in ghost ball aiming are provided herein for use in cue sports. The apparatus enables a player to align an object ball with a target and determine an aim line at which to propel a cue ball to send the object ball to the target. The apparatus is selectively engaged or selectively attached to a cue stick to provide a visual indication of the aim line along the length of the cue stick. A pivot point of the apparatus is placed in contact with the play surface and secures an absolute position on the play surface as the cue stick and apparatus are rotated from a target line to the aim line.

System and method for calculating projected impact generated by sports implements and gaming equipment

Disclosed are systems and methods of calculating projected impact generated by sports and gaming implements. An exemplary method comprises: receiving a measurement from a sensor associated with a subject of impact; receiving a measurement from a sensor associated with an object of impact; wherein the at least one received measurement includes one or more characteristics of movement of the subject in response to an external stimuli and one or more characteristics of movement of the object in response to the impact by the subject; calculating, by a projection tool, a projected impact of the subject on the object before the actual impact; and calculating, by a modeling tool, a model of movement of the object in response to the impact by the subject based at least on the projected impact and one or more rules defining a movement of the object based on the projected impact by the subject.
