PROGRAMMABLE INTERACTIVE SYSTEMS, METHODS AND MACHINE READABLE PROGRAMS TO AFFECT BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS
Implementations of a programmable interactive system to interact with a user to alter a user's behavioral patterns are provided. Such systems can include one or more of a processor, at least one input sensor operably coupled to the processor to sense at least one sensor input, at least one output device to output at least one stimulus to be observed by the user, a core unit to interact with the user, the core unit being operably coupled to the processor, and a non-transitory machine-readable medium embodying a set of machine readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the system to detect one or more sensor inputs by way of the at least one sensor, analyze said at least one or more sensor inputs to identify a parameter describing the status of the user, and responsive to determining the parameter describing the status of the user, causing the at least one output device to change output of at least one stimulus that is observable by the user.
TOY FIGURINE FOR DISPLAYING AN ANIMATED LIGHT PATTERN
In an aspect, a toy figurine for displaying an animated light pattern includes a main body, a plurality of light-emitting elements inside, and a controller. The light-emitting elements, when unilluminated, are invisible to a user outside the main body, and, when illuminated, are invisible to the user but emit light that is visible through a window of the main body. The controller is programmed to: a) illuminate a first light-emitting element at a first element illumination rate so as to emit first light through the window, b) illuminate a second light-emitting element at a second element illumination rate so as to emit through the light-diffusive window, second light which overlaps with the first light, and c) after step b) has begun, deilluminate the first light-emitting element at a first selected deillumination rate, so as to generate an appearance of light that travels along the window.
Interactive toy bin
An interactive toy bin includes a receptacle having an open top end, a middle section and a closed bottom end defining a generally hollow cavity for receiving toys. A motion sensor is positioned along the periphery of the open top end, and a plurality of lights are disposed along the outside portion of the receptacle. A stylized main body character having a speaker, a control system and a rotational actuator is positioned along the outside portion of the receptacle.
ROBOT
A robot includes an umbrella portion capable of performing a rotational movement and an opening/closing movement of an umbrella; and a processor. The processor acquires emotion data representing a pseudo emotion in accordance with an external stimulus, and controls, based on the emotion data, at least one of the rotational movement or the opening/closing movement of the umbrella of the umbrella portion.
SPECIAL PURPOSE MANNEQUIN
A mannequin of a human torso adapted to retain otherwise handheld devices for simulation purposes is provided. The mannequin may have a plush shell covering filled with polymer stuffing except for a cavity therein, wherein the cavity communicates to a cavity opening defined by the shell covering. An elastic sleeve may be dimensioned and adapted to line the cavity yet protrude from the cavity opening, so that the sleeve opening is concomitant with the cavity opening. Operatively engaged along a peripheral portion of the sleeve, slightly inward for the sleeve opening, a peripheral drawstring adapted to selectively decrease the peripheral portion of the sleeve is disposed to removably retain the handheld device within the sleeve.
MODULAR ACCESSORY FOR VIDEO GAMING
Systems and method for using a modular game accessory to play a video game. A smart toy is presented that can be reconfigured by the player on the fly while playing the video game by adding and removing modules. When the smart toy is reconfigured, the capabilities of the player's in-game avatar are modified accordingly. In this way, the smart toy exists as a hybrid of a physical toy and video game avatar. Modules for modifying the smart toy can represent components and crew of the vehicle represented by the smart toy, and different modules can offer different capabilities to the in-game avatar.
TRANSFORMING FLOWER DOLL
A transforming flower doll may include a doll body. The doll body may include a torso with an interior cavity defined in at least a portion of the torso. A head may be connected to the torso. At least one flower may include a stem. The stem may include a stem distal end opposite the head of the doll body. The stem may further include a stem proximal end opposite the stem distal end. The stem proximal end may extend into the interior cavity of the doll body. A sleeve may be connected to the torso between the head of the doll body and the stem distal end of the at least one flower. The sleeve may be configured to substantially cover the doll body in a flower mode position. The sleeve may also be configured to leave the doll body substantially uncovered in a doll mode position.
MULTIPLE COMPONENT TRANSITION TOY ASSEMBLY
A multiple component transition toy assembly for easing a child user's transition between various locations includes a portable component formed from a plush, stuffed body having an attachment member and a destination component formed from a rigid body having a retaining member. The portable component can be selectively coupled with the destination component because the attachment member is operative to form a releasable attachment with the retaining member. The portable component may be weighted to provide a grounding feeling to a child user. The transition toy assembly may include a wirelessly actuated sensory output device which causes the destination component to acknowledge the presence of the portable component through a sensory output.
ASSEMBLY WITH OBJECT IN HOUSING AND MECHANISM TO OPEN HOUSING
In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided and includes a housing and an inner object inside the housing. The inner object includes a breakout mechanism that includes a hammer and an actuation lever. The hammer is movable between a retracted position in which the hammer is spaced from the housing and an advanced position in which the hammer is positioned to break the housing. The actuation lever is pivotable from a hammer retraction position towards a hammer driving position so as to drive the hammer towards the advanced position.
System and method for presenting a virtual counterpart of an action figure based on action figure state information
In certain implementations, a presentation of a virtual counterpart of an action figure may be provided based on action figure state information obtained via wireless communication with the action figure. As an example, an action figure may be detected within a short wireless communication range of a computer system. A wireless connection between the computer system and the action figure may be established based on the detection. Action figure state information identifying a position of a moveable part of the action figure relative to another part of the action figure may be received at the computer system from the action figure via the wireless connection. The relative position may be related to a pose exhibited by the action figure. A virtual counterpart of the action figure may be presented based on the relative position such that the virtual counterpart exhibits the same pose as the action figure.
