[Object] To prevent appropriately that a user perceives sound emitted by a tactile stimulus (second sound). [Solving Means] To provide an information processing device including a generation section that generates, on the basis of information regarding a first perception characteristic of a user with respect to a first sound emitted from an acoustic presentation section and information regarding a second perception characteristic of the user with respect to a second sound emitted by a tactile stimulus presented from a tactile data presentation section, tactile data to be used for presentation of the tactile stimulus of emitting the second sound that is not perceived by the user.

An information processing device is provided to present a sensation to a user taking a delay occurring before sound is perceived by the user appropriately into consideration. The information processing device includes a generation section that generates, on the basis of a difference between a first timing at which a sound is to be outputted from an acoustic presentation section and a second timing at which the sound is to be perceived by a first user, first data to be used for presentation of a sensation to the first user by a sensation presentation section worn by the first user.

Multi-platform vibro-kinetic system

A multi-platform vibro-kinetic system comprises a plurality of motion platforms each having actuators to be displaceable to produce vibro-kinetic effects. The system may obtain movements of one or more operator(s), interpret the movements of the operator and identifying from the movements an operator instruction for effect generation, and output a motion signal containing instructions for producing a vibro-kinetic effect on at least one of the motion platforms as a response to the operator instruction.

This invention refers to a costume apparatus for enabling a user to perform or engage in role-play activities. The costume apparatus may be worn on a user's body, and comprises a character head suitable for covering a head of an individual or user (e.g., having a chicken head appearance); a body pod (e.g., having a chicken skin and chicken body appearance and, optionally, a tail portion); a glove (which can also be a portion of a bodysuit suitable for covering an arm of an individual or user (e.g., having a chicken wing skin appearance); a leg covering (such as leggings or a bodysuit) suitable for covering legs of an individual or user (e.g., having a chicken leg appearance, optionally comprising fishnet stockings or the appearance of fishnet stockings); a removable body pod cover (e.g., having a chicken feather appearance, such as manufactured from artificial fur material); or a glove cover (e.g., having a feathered chicken wing appearance, such as manufactured from an artificial fur material).

Linear actuator for motion simulator
11781624 · 2023-10-10 · ·

A linear actuator comprises a motor for producing a bi-directional rotational output. A casing is connected to the motor at a proximal end, the casing having an inner cavity defining a joint surface. A shaft is within the inner cavity of the casing and actuated by the motor for rotation. A sliding tube is at least partially in the inner cavity of the casing for moving in translation in an axial direction relative to the casing. One or more travelling nut is connected to the sliding tube assembly for moving with the sliding tube in the axial direction, the travelling nut being operatively engaged to the shaft for converting a rotational motion of the shaft into a translation of the sliding tube. A liner is between the sliding tube and the joint surface of the inner cavity, an inner surface of the liner defining longitudinal contact surfaces separated by longitudinal grooves, the longitudinal contact surfaces contacting the sliding tube.

Systems and methods for detecting specular surfaces

A system for detecting specular surfaces, the system including an image sensor that captures image data from an area, a first light emitter that emits a first light into the area from a first position, a second light emitter that emits a second light into the area from a second position, and control circuitry. The control circuitry operates to acquire first image data from the image sensor while the first light emitter is active and the second light emitter is inactive, acquire second image data from the image sensor while the second light emitter is active and the first light emitter is inactive, and process the first image data with the second image data to identify non-overlapping image data between the first image data and the second image data as a specular surface.

INTERACTIVE THEATER SYSTEM WITH REAL-TIME FEEDBACK AND DYNAMIC SPECIAL EFFECTS
20220258044 · 2022-08-18 ·

The interactive theater system is executed on an interactive gaming computer (IG PC) configured to execute an interactive multi-player video game. The IG PC outputs a video stream to a display system, such as a projector and screen, which allows the players to view the multi-player video game. Each player sits in a multi-sensory seat for providing multi-sensory feedback to each player during execution of the interactive multi-player video game. The player provides input using an input device having an infrared camera and motion sensors. The infrared camera is used to image an infrared light arrangement positioned above-the multi-sensory seats. Infrared camera data and motion sensor data is used by the IG PC to accurately determine the real time position of each input device. Players in a first interactive theater system can compete with players in a second interactive theater system in real time.

More particularly, chair assemblies (e.g., powered recliner chairs, rocker style chairs, fixed position chairs, chairs with pivoting seats, recliner chairs, a sub-combination thereof, or a combination thereof), tables and trays, modular components for use within the chair, table, and tray assemblies, and parts for use within the modular components are provided.

Atmospheric effects systems for presenting atmospheric effects relating to an event

An air amplifier utilizes a high-pressure input stream of air to accelerate a low-velocity input stream of air to provide a high-velocity, high-volume output stream of air. A coupled air amplifier array includes multiple air amplifiers which couple their respective output streams of air to one another to form a single collective output stream of air. Multiple coupled air amplifier arrays can be utilized to form coupled air amplifier array systems to provide multiple collective output streams of air which can be focused toward to an audience within a venue. The coupled air amplifier array system can be implemented within atmospheric effects systems to provide atmospheric effects, such as wind, scent, and/or temperature to provide some examples, relating to an event. These atmospheric effects systems can present these atmospheric effects to the audience to enhance the immersion of the audience as they are viewing the event. These atmospheric effects systems can include multiple portable mobile effects pods that are situated within different locations within the venue to present these atmospheric effects to different locations with the venue.
