INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
[Object] To make it possible to present a sensation to a user taking a delay occurring before sound is perceived by the user appropriately into consideration. [Solving Means] An information processing device is provided which includes a generation section that generates, on the basis of a difference between a first timing at which a sound is to be outputted from an acoustic presentation section and a second timing at which the sound is to be perceived by a first user, first data to be used for presentation of a sensation to the first user by a sensation presentation section worn by the first user.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
[Object] To prevent appropriately that a user perceives sound emitted by a tactile stimulus (second sound). [Solving Means] To provide an information processing device including a generation section that generates, on the basis of information regarding a first perception characteristic of a user with respect to a first sound emitted from an acoustic presentation section and information regarding a second perception characteristic of the user with respect to a second sound emitted by a tactile stimulus presented from a tactile data presentation section, tactile data to be used for presentation of the tactile stimulus of emitting the second sound that is not perceived by the user.
Handheld tactile simulator system for enhancing the motion picture viewing experience
A tactile simulation system according to the present invention configured to be used by a subject watching a motion picture. The tactile simulation system comprises a handgrip section, a recoil section, and a controller. The handgrip section configured to generate one or more vibration experienced by the subject holding the handgrip section. The recoil section generates one or more recoil simulation. The recoil section is removably attached to the handgrip section. Further, the controller is operably connected to the handgrip section and the recoil section. The controller is configured to operate the handgrip section and the recoil section based on the motion picture.
Interactive Entertainment Device
An entertainment system comprising a primary display, a plurality of seats, and a 4D effects system comprising one or more devices configured to provide a secondary sensory stimulation to users situated at the plurality of seats, wherein each of a plurality of seats has associated therewith a secondary display device and a user input device, wherein the secondary display device is configured to display different content to the primary display and the user input device is configured to accept one or more user inputs in response to the content displayed on the secondary display; wherein the 4D effects system selectively engages one or more of the devices to provide a secondary sensory stimulation to one or more of the plurality of seats based on the inputs received from the user input device associated with the one or more of the plurality of seats.
Device and Method for Integrating Scent into Virtual Reality Environment
A system and method for evaluating a fragrance product or object is provided, wherein the system includes a virtual reality component configured to present a user with a product or object in a virtual reality environment; an optional biometric sensor component configured to obtain the user's biometric data; a wearable scent delivery component configured to deliver a scent to the user; and a digital controller component that synchronizes delivery of the scent with the user's interaction with the product or object in the virtual reality environment.
Fog machine
A fog machine supplies air to a fog liquid reservoir to force the fog liquid into a heater, wherein the fog liquid vaporizes to produce fog. The fog liquid supply to the heater can be halted, and the air supply can then be used to purge the heater of residual fog liquid. Within the heater, the fog liquid travels from outer passages further from the heating element(s) to inner passages closer to the heating element(s), whereby the fog liquid is preheated prior to vaporization, resulting in a higher degree of vaporization and drier fog with finer vapor particles. The fog machine may draw fog liquid from an offboard fog liquid reservoir, such as an off-the-shelf jug of liquid, and is preferably remote-controllable via a user's smartphone.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING SPECULAR SURFACES
A system for detecting specular surfaces, the system including an image sensor that captures image data from an area, a first light emitter that emits a first light into the area from a first position, a second light emitter that emits a second light into the area from a second position, and control circuitry. The control circuitry operates to acquire first image data from the image sensor while the first light emitter is active and the second light emitter is inactive, acquire second image data from the image sensor while the second light emitter is active and the first light emitter is inactive, and process the first image data with the second image data to identify non-overlapping image data between the first image data and the second image data as a specular surface.
RESISTANCE CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AMUSEMENT ATTRACTIONS
A resistance control system of an amusement attraction includes a support assembly having a base, a pivot joint, and a support beam extending between the base and the pivot joint. The resistance control system includes a spring plate coupled to the pivot joint of the support assembly, and includes at least one spring engaged with the spring plate. Additionally, the resistance control system includes an actuator plate positioned between the spring plate and the base of the support assembly, as well as at least one actuator coupled between the actuator plate and the base. The at least one actuator is configured to move and secure the actuator plate relative to the pivot joint to adjust a resistance to movement about the pivot joint.
RESISTANCE CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AMUSEMENT ATTRACTIONS
A resistance control system for a passenger support of an amusement attraction includes a first foundation, a second foundation, and a support extending between the first foundation and the second foundation. The second foundation is pivotably coupled to the support at a pivot joint. The resistance control system also includes a motor and a linkage system coupled to the motor and to the second foundation such that the motor is configured to output a torque to adjust, via the linkage system, a resistance to movement of the second foundation about the pivot joint and relative to the first foundation.
Scent blending
One embodiment of the present disclosure may take the form of a method of dispersing scents in congruity with entertainment. Multiple scents are dispersed into the environment surrounding a participant at various points in congruity with visual entertainment. The scents are selectively provided at various times to coincide with the display of one or more elements in the entertainment experience such as a location or character. One embodiment of the present disclosure may take the form of a system for blending scents. The system includes an airflow source, a plurality of scent distributors, and a controller operably coupled to the airflow source and plurality of scent distributors to selectively control delivery of the scents from the plurality of scent distributors to bulk airflow delivered to a participant environment.
