Disparity correction for location-aware distributed sporting events
Various embodiments facilitate location-aware distributed competitions. In one embodiment, a system facilitates a distributed sporting event that includes multiple players traveling over non-uniform courses that are remote from one another. The system includes a manager that receives state information, such as location information, from client devices used by each of the players. The manager then transmits location information for each of the players to the client devices, which are each configured to present a graphical representation, such as a map annotated with the locations of each of the players. The system corrects for disparities between the non-uniform courses traveled by the players, for example by mapping a location on a course traveled by a first player to a location on a course traveled by a second player. Various mechanisms for establishing the mapping between non-uniform courses are also described.

GUIDE ROPE
To allow users to communicate with each other using the tactile sense, which is not limited to the direction and magnitude of force. A guide rope is constituted by a first gripping component, a first connection component, a second gripping component, and a second connection component that are annularly connected in sequence. An inner portion of the first gripping component, an inner portion of the first connection component, an inner portion of the second gripping component, and an inner portion of the second connection component are all hollow, and the inner portions of the components are connected to form one sealed space. The first gripping component and the second gripping component are formed in such a way as to be easily deformed by a change in pressure of air in the inner portion or a change in force from outside. The first connection component and the second connection component are formed in such a way as not to be easily deformed by a change in pressure of air in the inner portion, a change in force from outside, or a change in relative positional relationship between the users.

A poker-incorporated sports game is provided. The sports game includes elements each bearing indicia, or marking, of a playing card, such as playing cards used in a poker card game. The participants of the sports game have to perform and meet one or more predetermined challenges or tasks to achieve a poker hand from the elements. The participants strive to meet the challenges in the shorted time possible. An algorithm is then used to calculate the score of each participant, based on the value of the poker hand of and time used by the participant to achieve the poker hand.

A method of conducting a racing competition among a plurality of race cars including conducting qualifying trials among the plurality race cars, arranging the race cars in qualifying order arrangement for the start of the race, altering at least one of time, distance or speed parameters of one or more of the plurality of race cars during the race, and determining the winner and order of race finish at the completion of the race based on the parameters.
System for measuring and correcting the finish time of an athlete in a race
The measuring system makes it possible to correct a finish time for an athlete in a running race. The system comprises a personalized transponder module placed on an upper part of the athlete's body and a base station. The transponder module comprises a signal receiver unit, a data, measurement or command processing unit, and a data and/or measurement and/or command signal transmission unit, and a motion sensor for providing measurement signals to the processing unit. The motion sensor may be a gyroscope connected to the processing unit in the transponder unit and configured to determine an angle of inclination of the athlete's body with respect to a vertical or horizontal direction upon crossing the finish line for correction of the race finish time.

CHARIOT FOR HORSE AND DRIVER TRAINING IN HORSERACING
The Present Invention is a chariot that resembles and functions like a training jog cart or sulky in harness racing. The function of the chariot is to train horses and drivers. The chariot receives telemetry from both the horse and the driver, and processes the data with an onboard computer system. The chariot comprises a display (or dashboard) and audio processor to provide the driver and other observers with information. It can be used to train or monitor drivers, Olympic athletes, equine athletes, or animals other than horses, and may be equipped with technologies often used in NASCAR or Formula One vehicles. The chariot may also be used interactively in immersive racing simulators and fantasy games.
Distance detector
A distance detecting device is mounted on a user's vehicle to detect a distance between the user's vehicle and a leading vehicle moving in front of the user's vehicle. The distance detecting device communicates with a processing device, which applies race based distance rules to determine whether the user's vehicle is close to or incurring a penalty based at least on the distance between the user's vehicle and the leading vehicle. An indication can be given to the user regarding an impending penalty and/or when a penalty is incurred. Similarly, the device can be read to apply a penalty. Various modifications can be made to allow for recording, display, and transmission of racing and penalty statistics, enabling and disabling recordation of penalty occurrences, tailoring the penalty determinations to a given race, and mounting the distance detecting device to a vehicle.

A distance detecting device is mounted on a user's vehicle to detect a distance between the user's vehicle and a leading vehicle moving in front of the user's vehicle. The distance detecting device communicates with a processing device, which applies race based distance rules to determine whether the user's vehicle is close to or incurring a penalty based at least on the distance between the user's vehicle and the leading vehicle.
