DISTILLATION APPARATUS
A distillation apparatus is disclosed herein. The distillation apparatus comprises an evaporation chamber, a heat source arranged to provide heat to the evaporation chamber, one or more condensing chambers located at least partially inside the evaporation chamber, a fluid inlet connected to the evaporation chamber, one or more fluid outlets attached to the one or more condensing chambers and a vapour compressor pump. Also disclosed is a liquid ring pump suitable for use with such a distillation apparatus, the pump comprising a pump body, a pump compression chamber provided within the pump body, a rotor mounted within the compression chamber, a rotor axle to mount said rotor, the rotor being provided with one or more ceramic bearings to mount it to the rotor axle.
SEWAGE TREATMENT MACHINE
A sewage treatment machine comprising: a closed container inside which the liquid to be treated is brought to boil; a vacuum-generating apparatus, which is adapted to maintain the inside of the closed container at a given pressure having a value lower than the environmental/external pressure; a heat-pump assembly which is associated to the closed container so as to be able to transfer heat to the liquid present on the bottom of the closed container, thus to bring said liquid to boil, and simultaneously remove heat from the vapours that reach the top of the closed container, thus to condense the vapour and obtain a distilled liquid, and which contains a refrigerant fluid comprising one or more gases of the family of the hydrofluoroolefins in a percentage greater than 3%.
SEPARATION OF CANNABINOIDS FROM MIXTURES THEREOF BY DISTILLATION
The present disclosure relates to isolating one or more cannabinoids from an input mixture. There is disclosed an apparatus that comprises a volatizing unit, a fractional distillation unit, and a condensing unit. The volatizing unit receives and volatilizes the input mixture to provide a cannabinoid-containing vapor stream and a residue. The fractional distillation unit comprises a plenum for receiving the cannabinoid-containing vapor stream and separates a first cannabinoid from at least a second cannabinoid. The condensing unit is configured to receive a portion of the cannabinoid-containing vapor stream comprising the first cannabinoid from the plenum and to form a condensed first cannabinoid output stream and a recirculate stream. There are also disclosed methods for isolating one or more cannabinoids employing a recirculate stream.
Passive heat and mass transfer system
A heat and mass transfer system configured to be a passive system using gravitational force to form a thin liquid film flow on an outer surface of a flow distribution head and downstream conduit member to subject the thin liquid film to heat transfer mediums. The at least partially spherical flow distribution head creates a uniform thin flow of liquid on the outer surface increasing the efficiency of the heat and mass transfer system. The heat and mass transfer system may include a heat transfer medium supply system in fluid communication with internal aspects of the downstream conduit such that a heat transfer medium flows within the downstream conduit while the liquid film flows on the outer surface of the downstream conduit. Rather than conventional sheet flow on inner surfaces of a conduit, the flow distribution head enables sheet flow to be formed on an outside surface of a component.
A method of removing volatile compounds from a lignin-containing material, use of a distillation method, and a lignin-containing material
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of removing volatile compounds from a lignin-containing material, the method comprising: providing a material comprising lignin and volatile compounds; treating the material by a distillation method in order to vaporize at least a part of the volatile compounds.
APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHOD FOR FILTRATION
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for recovering water from an aqueous stream containing a solute are disclosed herein. In accordance with an aspect, provided is method comprising receiving an inlet brine stream comprising water and a solute; producing a concentrated brine stream by contacting the inlet brine stream with an ion exchange resin configured to extract water from the inlet brine stream, the ion exchange resin comprising a plurality of pores adapted to receive water molecules; ceasing the contact of the ion exchange resin with the inlet brine stream and the concentrated brine stream; and evaporating at least a portion of the water contained in the ion exchange resin aided by unsaturated air with less than 100% relative humidity using an evaporation unit.
TREATMENT OF MILL SCALE CONTAINING HYDROCARBONS
The present invention is directed to a unit and/or process for treating mill scale containing hydrocarbons, which improves emission levels and allows better control of the temperature during the heating stage. The unit and/or process comprises an indirect-fired rotary thermal reactor (2), a pre-treatment duct (18), a two-stage recovery unit wherein the first stage comprises an oil recovering assembly (4) and the second stage comprises an oil and water condensing unit (6), a coalescing oil filtration system (8) and a reactor combustion chamber (17) for recycled fuel.
UREA PRODUCTION WITH TRIPLE MP STREAMS
The disclosure pertains to a urea production plant and process using a high-pressure CO.sub.2 stripper, downstream medium-pressure treatment unit and a medium-pressure dissociator receiving urea synthesis solution from the reactor, wherein gas from the treatment unit and dissociator are condensed in a first condenser and off-gas from the synthesis section is condensed separately in a second condenser. A revamping method is also described.
CUP LID AND SELF-PRODUCING WATER CUP
The present disclosure provides a cup lid and a self-producing water cup. The cup lid includes: a housing, a condensing mechanism, and a heat dissipation mechanism. The housing defines a housing space, an air inlet, an air outlet, and a water outlet. The air inlet, the air outlet, and the water outlet are connected to an outside. The air inlet, the air outlet, and the water outlet are connected to the housing space. The condensing mechanism is housed in the housing and connected to the air inlet. The condensing mechanism is configured to condense air flowing from the air inlet into water, and the water flows out through the water outlet. The heat dissipation mechanism is housed in the housing and connected to the air outlet. The heat dissipation mechanism is configured to dissipate heat generated by the condensing mechanism.
