MULTI STAGE SAFE DRY CONDENSING
A method and system for deodorizing an edible oil or fat. The method includes stripping substances from the oil or fat with a stripping medium at high temperature at a pressure of less than 5 mbar, and reducing volume and increasing pressure of the stripping medium in a multi-step process. In a first step the volume of the stripping medium is reduced by cooling it using a first heat transfer fluid loop at a first temperature, and the pressure is increased to a first intermediate pressure. In a second step the volume is reduced by cooling using a second heat transfer fluid loop at a second temperature, and it he pressure is increased to a second intermediate pressure. In a third step the volume is reduced by cooling using a third heat transfer fluid loop at a third temperature, and the pressure is increased to atmospheric pressure.

A method and a device for the purification of gases from the degassing of polymer melts—in particular, for the continuous further processing to form stretched polymer films. In this case, the gas to be purified is fed from a vacuum zone of a plasticizing unit, via at least one vacuum or degassing line, to a vacuum separator with a gas inlet and a gas outlet in which condensible, separable by freezing, and/or re-sublimable substances are separated from the supplied and purified gas by means of a cooling arrangement, and the separated substances are removed from the vacuum separator. By means of a heating arrangement, the substances separated by means of the cooling arrangement are at least partially liquefied or softened in the vacuum separator and removed from the vacuum separator in particular by suction.

The present invention provides a target unit and a sublimation apparatus suitable for use in a method for producing Cu67 radioisotope suitable for use in medical applications. The apparatus comprises a sublimation tube with one open end. The sublimation tube contains an ingot comprising Zn68 and Cu67 in a ceramic capsule contacting a closed end the sublimation tube. A removable vacuum dome is sealable over the open end of the sublimation tube so that interior of the apparatus can be placed under vacuum.
