Induction heater system for a fluidized bed reactor

A system for the production of a polycrystalline silicon product is disclosed. The system includes a reaction chamber, a susceptor, an induction unit, and a plurality of energy sources. The reaction chamber has a reactor wall, and the susceptor encircles the reactor wall. The induction heater surrounds the susceptor, and has multiple induction coils for producing heat in the susceptor. The coils are grouped into a plurality of zones. The plurality of energy sources supply electric current to the coils. Each energy source is connected with the coils of at least one zone.

Selective mining enhanced recovery process

Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a method and method for recovery of solution mined minerals. The method may include creating superheated steam using a steam boiler; passing the superheated steam through a turbine/generator to generate electricity; reheating the steam exiting the turbine/generator to saturation with a steam reheater; using the saturated steam with an absorption chiller to create chilled water; and recovering minerals using the chilled water in a cooling crystallizer system. In embodiments, the method and system may be used to recover minerals, such as potash (KCl), washing soda (Na.sub.2CO.sub.3.10H.sub.2O); nahcolite (NaHCO.sub.3); and glauber salt (NaSO.sub.4.10H.sub.2O). The method may utilize the trigeneration of steam, electrical, and chilled water utilities, which may be used for a recovery process.

Process and Apparatus for Purification of Acrylic Acid

A process and an apparatus for the purification of a crude acrylic acid composition containing maleic anhydride as an impurity comprising the following steps: (a) carrying out at least one dynamic melt crystallization stage (14, 14a, 14b, 14c, 14d) with the crude acrylic acid composition to prepare a first purified acrylic acid composition and a first residue containing at least 3.5% by weight maleic anhydride, (b) adding a solvent (26) which is capable of dissolving maleic anhydride to the first residue in an amount that the weight ratio of the solvent to the maleic anhydride is 0.3 or more to prepare a ratio-adjusted residue and (c) carrying out at least one further dynamic melt crystallization stage and/or at least one static melt crystallization stage (18, 18a, 18b) with the ratio-adjusted residue to prepare a second purified acrylic acid composition and a second residue.

Efficient and Energy-Saving Wastewater Evaporation Crystallizer

The present disclosure relates to a wastewater flue evaporating device. An wastewater evaporation crystallizer is provided, including an evaporating tube inlet, an inlet flange, an inlet chamber, a pneumatic inlet baffle, an evaporating tube body, a pneumatic outlet baffle, an outlet chamber, an outlet flange, and an evaporating tube outlet which are successively coupled, where the evaporating tube inlet is connected to provide a gas pipeline; the gas pipeline is connected on a flue between an external denitration device and an air preheater; the evaporating tube outlet is communicated with an inlet flue of a dust collector; the evaporating tube body is provided with a wastewater nozzle; and the wastewater nozzle is communicated with a pretreated waste pipe. The present disclosure provides an efficient and energy-saving wastewater evaporation crystallizer which increases evaporation efficiency by bringing in a high-temperature gas at a front end of the air preheater.

Process and apparatus for forced circulation evaporative crystallization with large deposit inventory

Disclosed are processes and apparatuses for producing a crystalline product. The processes and apparatuses may extend the operational time of an evaporative crystallizer by providing an internal volume or large deposit inventory for fouling deposits to reside without impacting the unit operation.

The present invention relates to a method for separating off a substance from a solution, in which electromagnetic radiation is radiated into the solution, an intensity of the electromagnetic radiation which has been scattered by crystals located in the solution is detected, the detected intensity is compared with a desired intensity (I.sub.S) and the temperature of the solution is regulated depending on the difference between the detected intensity and the desired intensity (I.sub.S) in such a way that the amount of this difference is reduced. If the amount of the difference between the detected intensity and the desired intensity (I.sub.S) is less than a limiting value, a crystallization method is started in which crystals of the substance are obtained which are then separated off.

Process for purification of produced water

We provide a process for treatment of produced water, including but not limited to water produced by a “steam flood” process for extraction of oil from oil sands, including the removal of color from the water. This removal may be accomplished through addition of color-removal polymers and flocculents. This process may also be useful for other water treatment processes including reverse osmosis and filtration.
