Extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus having dialysis fluid parameter data entry
An extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus is provided comprising a filtration unit (2) connected to a blood circuit (17) and to a dialysate circuit (32), a preparation device (9) for preparing and regulating the composition of the dialysis fluid; a control unit (12) is configured for setting a sodium concentration value for the dialysis fluid in the dialysis supply line (8) at a set point; the setting of the sodium concentration includes the sub-step of calculating the sodium concentration value as an algebraic sum of a main contribution term based on the blood plasma conductivity and of an adjustment contribution term based on a concentration of at least a substance in the dialysis fluid chosen in the group including bicarbonate, potassium, acetate, lactate, citrate, magnesium, calcium, sulphate, and phosphate.
VESSEL AND DISPOSABLE INNER SLEEVE FOR MICROWAVE ASSISTED REACTIONS
A combination for carrying out microwave assisted reactions is disclosed, such as acid digestion and solvent extraction. The combination includes a microwave transparent pressure-resistant reaction vessel and a flexible film fluoropolymer liner inside the reaction vessel. The flexible film liner has a size and shape that substantially conforms to the inner walls of the reaction vessel. A pressure-relief closure is positioned on the reaction vessel and the flexible film liner, and an infrared temperature detector that operates in wavelengths (frequencies) to which both the reaction vessel and the flexible liner are transparent, so that an exact fit and conductive heating to the outside of the reaction vessel are not required.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANALYZING AN ANALYTE EXTRACTED FROM A SAMPLE USING AN ADSORBENT MATERIAL
Systems and methods for analyzing an analyte extracted from a sample using an adsorbent material.
COMPONENT EXTRACTION DEVICE
Provided is a component extraction device for eluting a component in a sample into a supercritical fluid to extract the component from the sample. The component extraction device includes: a container rack 12 including a plurality of sample container holding parts 124; a rack mounting stand 17 including a mounting section 170 on which the container rack 12 is mounted; a plurality of heating blocks 171 fixedly disposed on a mounting face of the mounting section 170 at positions respectively corresponding to the plurality of sample container holding parts 124; a plurality of temperature sensors each configured to detect a temperature of each of the plurality of heating blocks 171; and a control unit configured to respectively control the plurality of heating blocks, based on results of detection by the plurality of temperature sensors. With this configuration, the component extraction device minimizes a variation in the analysis results of the component extracted from the sample, due to heating for maintaining an extraction solvent at the supercritical state.
System for staged continuous cooled filtration
A series of vertically oriented filters of decreasing pore size is sealed from the atmosphere. Pressurized gas is used to force the liquid to be filtered through the filters. The filter stages are thermally insulated from ambient temperatures in order to maintain the liquid passing through at a reduced temperature. Each filter stage has a removable lid, which provides convenient access for replacing the filter cartridge, allowing it to be changed without disturbing the thermally insulated sidewalls of the filter stage.

A system of and for extraction or removal of phytochemicals from plants, including those of the plant family Cannabaceae sensu stricto. More specifically, a system for extracting essential oils from plants, such as cannabis, without the use of a solvent.
PHYTOCHEMICAL EXTRACTION SYSTEM AND METHODS TO EXTRACT PHYTOCHEMICALS FROM PLANTS INCLUDING PLANTS OF THE FAMILY CANNABACEAE SENSU STRICTO
A system of and for extraction or removal of phytochemicals from plants, including those of the plant family Cannabaceae sensu stricto. More specifically, a system for extracting essential oils from plants, such as cannabis, without the use of a solvent.
Extraction and separation method
An extraction and separation method separating a specific component from a raw material fluid using an extraction device including plural stages of extraction units connected sequentially. The extraction and separation method includes: extracting the specific component into an extraction solvent having a difference in specific gravity with respect to that raw material fluid from the raw material fluid while causing the raw material fluid and the extraction solvent to flow in a state of contact with each other in the extraction units for each stage; introducing at least part of the fluid discharged from an extraction unit to the next stage extraction unit in a state wherein the raw material fluid and the extraction solvent are mixed; and a final separation separating the raw material fluid, after the specific component has been extracted in the fluid discharged from the extraction unit in a final stage, and the extraction solvent that has extracted the specific component.
