Mulcher with improved cutting drum
A powered mulcher is configured for attachment to a vehicle. The mulcher includes a frame assembly and a drum assembly contained within the frame assembly. The drum assembly includes a substantially cylindrical drum and a cutting array mounted to the drum. The cutting array includes a plurality of flights connected to the drum and a plurality of cutters attached to each of the plurality of flights. The plurality of flights are configured to push processed plant debris away from the ends and middle of the drum.
Hitch Mechanism
A hitch mechanism for a work vehicle configured for operation on slopes. The hitch mechanism couplable to a tether fixed in position up the slope. An arm extends outwardly and upwardly from the work vehicle frame and supports a tether engaging structure couplable to the tether. The arm is mounted to the frame structure beneath the body portion of the work vehicle and extends rearwardly from the frame to support the tether engaging structure rearwardly of the body portion and rearwardly of the ground engaging drive mechanism. The hitch includes a pivot structure coupling the arm to the frame that allows the arm to pivot about a horizontal axis such that the arm is shiftable vertically. A controller receives inputs corresponding to at least one vehicle parameter and is operatively coupled to an actuator for causing the arm to shift in response to changes in the vehicle parameter.
IMPLEMENT GUIDANCE DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR WORK VEHICLES
An implement guidance display system may be deployed onboard a work vehicle including an operator station and chassis. The implement guidance display system includes a display device within the operator station of the work vehicle, implement data sources configured to provide implement tracking data pertaining to work the implement when mounted to the chassis, and a controller in signal communication with the display device and with the implement data sources. The controller is configured to: (i) receive the implement tracking data from the implement data sources; (ii) establish a projected trajectory of the work implement utilizing the implement tracking data; and (iii) generate, on the display device, implement trajectory symbology indicative of the projected trajectory of the work implement.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING TOOL
A control unit controls a tree stem processing tool pivotably mounted to an articulated boom in such a way that orientation of the tool is changed when the tool is controllably rotated about a rotation axis that is oriented substantially vertically. the articulated boom being rotatably connected to a mobile work machine, The control unit is adapted to automatically apply a control mode in the control unit in which control mode a power-driven operation is controlled according to a predetermined dependency in such a way that one or more operating parameters influencing the power-driven operation vary as a function of a prevailing separation or a prevailing distance determined in relation relating to a predetermined hazard direction or predetermined hazard trajectory associated with the tool.
Frame mounted hydraulic cable log skidder industrial attachment for agricultural tractors
This patent relates to a frame mounted hydraulic cable log skidder attachment for agricultural tractors. The skidder unit includes the structural plate, beam, and roller arch assembly which provides structural support for the hydraulic winch. The log skidder unit hydraulically self-loads onto the rear of the tractor. Once the log(s)/load is secured manually on the end of the choker cable, the load is raised off the ground via the hydraulic winch from inside the tractor cab and moved to a desired location, where the load is disconnected manually from the dismounted position.
Using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or drones) in forestry machine-connectivity applications
A method includes controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to collect and forward information pertaining to a forestry worksite area. The UAV is controlled to fly to a first location and capture image information at the first location. The UAV is also controlled to fly to a second location, establish a communication connection between the UAV and a communication system at the second location, and send the captured image information to the communication system via the established connection. In another example, the UAV uploads (e.g., sends) the data to a communication system (e.g., computing device operated by an operator), and the uploaded data is further sent to a remote computing system (e.g., a forestry analysis system).

METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR FORECASTING TREE DISEASE USING MOISTURE INFORMATION
Disclosed are a method and a system for forecasting a tree disease using moisture information. The method is carried out by a server. The method includes receiving, by the server, moisture information measured from a tree, wherein the moisture information includes a plurality of moisture information measured from the tree over time, and performing, by the server, time-series analysis of the plurality of moisture information, wherein the server performs time-series analysis of moisture information of the tree as measured over a predetermined period of time, and determines that the larger a number of inflection points of a curve corresponding to the moisture information, the higher a probability at which the tree has been infected with the tree disease.
Managing landbases and machine operations performed thereon
A method for management of a land base includes interfacing a machine or equipment to a computer running a geographical information system (GIS) application such that the computer is configured to monitor the operations performed by the equipment or machine on the land base and store the operations as map points, lines, or polygons on at least one data layer within the GIS application. The method further includes displaying the GIS application to the operator at the point and time of performing the operations.
