A filter element for filtering a fluid is provided with a first end disc and a second end disc. An annularly arranged filter medium is held between the first and second end discs. The filter medium can be flowed through by a fluid to be filtered in a radial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the filter element from an exterior of the filter element to an interior of the filter element. A fluid outlet socket is connected to the filter medium and extends away from the filter medium in an axial direction past the first end disc. The fluid outlet socket is provided with a wall and at least one vent hole extending through the wall in the radial direction. A fluid filter is provided with a filter housing and with the afore described filter element that is arranged in the filter housing.

Filter device

A filter device, in particular for lubricating oil filtration, includes at least two filter inserts (27), in each of which a filter material (43) is accommodated. The filter inserts are provided with fluid passage points (37, 39) and can be stacked on top of one another with the formation of a stack. A back-flushing device (55,57) is movably arranged along the inner side of the filter inserts (27). The individual filter inserts (27) are designed as identical parts at least with respect to their housings.

A first thread is arranged on the pump housing, and a second thread configured complementary to the first thread is arranged on the filter housing, so that the pump is able to be screwed via the pump housing to the filter housing of the filter device. The pump housing includes a housing cover, a middle part and a lower part. The housing cover is screwed to the middle part and the middle part is screwed to the lower part.

The present disclosure is directed to a filter system for a wind turbine, comprising at least a filter device having a filter housing with a volume portion and a cap portion, both defining a filter volume for receiving the oil filter. The filter housing is equipped with an inlet port, an outlet port and a pressure port. The filter system further comprises a pressurizing device having an interface port, and supply means for providing pressurized gas via the interface port, preferably into the filter housing of the filter device. The pressurizing device is configured for being connectable to the pressure port, preferably via a compensation duct. Furthermore, a method is disclosed, wherein the pressurizing device is connected to the filter housing, lubricant is discharged by applying pressurized gas into the filter volume, the cap portion is removed and an oil filter is subsequently replaced.

SPIN-ON FILTER WITH EXTERNAL THREADS AND METHODS

A filter arrangement for threadably securing to a filter head includes a housing having a surrounding wall defining an interior volume, an open mouth providing access to the interior volume and an end opposite of the open mouth. The surrounding wall has an exterior and an interior. A filter media construction is operably held within the interior volume. A sleeve, distinct from the housing, is secured to the exterior of the surrounding wall adjacent to the housing mouth and extending partially along the surrounding wall. The sleeve has an exterior and an interior. The exterior of the sleeve defines mounting threads constructed and arranged to removably mount with the filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. The interior of the sleeve is against the exterior of the surrounding wall. A first seal member is oriented against the sleeve to create a seal with a filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. A filter assembly includes a filter arrangement and a filter head. The filter arrangement is removably secured to the filter head by a threaded connection between the sleeve and the filter head. A system includes an engine utilizing a liquid and a filter assembly in fluid communication with the engine to filter the liquid. Methods of making filter arrangements include utilizing structures characterized above.

An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.

A filter insert for use in a three-stage fuel filter. The components inside the filter medium include a support dome, a coalescer, a separator that is affixed to a carrier, and an end disc. The support dome, carrier, and end disc are constructed so that, during the process of assembling the various components of the filter insert, these components are held in the proper position to complete the assembly of the filter insert, without the use of latching mechanisms. The carrier either rests directly on a contour of the support dome and/or forms a seal with an adjacent component, be it the support dome or another component that is in contact with the support dome, and in that way provides sufficient holding power to hold at least the support dome and the carrier along with its separator close to the end disc.
