Self cleaning swimming pool filter
Self-cleaning swimming pool filter apparatus having a hollow cylindrical filter in a filter housing and a cleaning tube rotatable with respect to the filter, with a plurality of filter cleaning orifices, a pump connected to circulate swimming pool water through the filter in the operational filtering mode and through the cleaning tube and filter cleaning orifices in the filter cleaning mode, according to the setting of directional valves.
A METHOD FOR SEPARATING SOLID PARTICLES FROM A WATERBODY
The present disclosure relates to a method for separation of solid particles from a waterbody. Preferably, the present disclosure relates to a method, wherein a combination of chemicals including coagulant(s) and flocculant(s) are employed for said separation of solid particles, wherein suitable examples of solid particles are living organisms and non-living matter, wherein living organisms include autotrophs such as phototrophs, which are either microscopic or macroscopic in nature (algae). The disclosure thus particularly relates to method of chemical coagulation and flocculation for separating solid particles, preferably either algae or bacteria or both from a waterbody. The present disclosure also provides for an alternate method, wherein the aforesaid method of coagulation and flocculation is combined with electro-coagulation and/or pH modulation strategies for separation of said solid particles in any sequence.
Protecting a Fluid Stream from Fouling using a Phase Change Material
A system and method for delivering heat to a fluid in a fluid production pipeline. Particles are injected into a line adjacent the fluid production pipeline. The particles include a microencapsulated liquid exothermic phase change material configured to undergo a phase change by solidification and release heat at a selected temperature. The released heat is transferred to the fluid production pipeline.
METHOD OF PREPARING HOVENIA DULCIS THUNB EXTRACT RICH IN DIHYDROMYRICETIN
A method for preparing a Hovenia dulcis Thunb extract rich in dihydromyricetin includes the following steps: (1) crushing Hovenia dulcis Thunb seeds to obtain a Hovenia dulcis Thunb powder; (2) adding a 10-95% ethanol solution in an amount of 3-15 times of an amount of the Hovenia dulcis Thunb powder, stirring and extracting at 20° C-80° C. twice; (3) filtering to obtain an extract solution; (4) concentrating the extract solution by evaporating ethanol under reduced pressure to obtain a crude extract, the crude extract having a solid content of 10%-40%; (5) placing the crude extract at −20° C. to 8° C. for 0.5 to 12 hours; (6) centrifuging the crude extract to obtain a supernatant; and (7) spray-drying the supernatant to obtain the Hovenia dulcis Thunb extract.
Cold filtering of extraction solutions
A method for filtering a precipitatable constituent from an extraction solution through a filter apparatus includes pre-cooling at least a portion of the filter apparatus to a reduced temperature that is effective to precipitate the constituent from the extraction solution. At least the cooled portion of the filter apparatus may be thermally conductive to act as a heat sink for the extraction solution being passed through the filter apparatus. The reduced temperature facilitates removal of the precipitatable constituent from the extraction solution.

Electronic filter detection feature for liquid filtration systems
A filter monitor system (“FMS”) module is installed on the engine/vehicle and is connected to the filter systems, sensors and devices to monitor various performance parameters. The module also connects to the engine control module (“ECM”) and draws parameters from the ECM. The FMS module is capable of interfacing with various output devices such as a smartphone application, a display monitor, an OEM telematics system or a service technician's tool on a computer. The FMS module consists of hardware and software algorithms which constantly monitor filter systems and provide information to the end-user. FMS module provides necessary inputs and outputs for electronic sensors and devices.
