LIQUID HYDROCARBON FILTERABILITY SYSTEM
A liquid hydrocarbon filterability system includes a liquid hydrocarbon sample source piping in fluid communication with a liquid hydrocarbon sample container. A filtration media element is in fluid communication with the liquid hydrocarbon sample source piping. Filtered liquid hydrocarbon outlet piping is in fluid communication with and downstream of the filtration media element. A flow or volume measurement element is in fluid communication with the filtered liquid hydrocarbon outlet piping and is configured to measure an amount of liquid hydrocarbon passing through the filtration media element. A constant pressure source is configured to provide liquid hydrocarbon to the filtration media element at a constant pressure.
Bijels And Methods Of Making The Same
A method of making a bijel includes dispersing surface-active nanoparticles in a ternary liquid mixture. The ternary liquid mixture includes a hydrophilic liquid, a hydrophobic liquid, and a solvent. The ternary liquid mixture is contacted with water. A bijel includes a stable mixture of two immiscible liquids separated by an interfacial layer of colloidal particles. The bijel has temperature-independent stability, and the domain sizes are below one micrometer.

Chemical liquid purification method
An object of the present invention is to provide a chemical liquid purification method which makes it possible to obtain a chemical liquid having excellent defect inhibition performance. The chemical liquid purification method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a chemical liquid purification method including obtaining a chemical liquid by filtering a substance to be purified containing an organic solvent by using two or more kinds of filters having different pore sizes, in which a supply pressure P.sub.1 of the substance to be purified supplied to a filter F.sub.max having a maximum pore size X.sub.1 among the two or more kinds of filters and a supply pressure P.sub.2 of the substance to be purified supplied to a filter F.sub.min having a minimum pore size X.sub.2 among the two or more kinds of filters satisfy P.sub.1>P.sub.2.
Mineral separation using functionalized membranes
A machine or apparatus featuring a first processor and a second processor. The first processor is configured to receive a mixture of fluid, valuable material and unwanted material and a functionalized polymer coated member configured to attach to the valuable material in an attachment rich environment, and provide an enriched functionalized polymer coated member having the valuable material attached thereto. The second processor is configured to receive a fluid and the enriched functionalized polymer coated member in a release rich environment to release the valuable material, and provide the valuable material released from the enriched functionalized polymer coated member.

Grow Table Cleaning System
A cleaning system includes a planar material beneath a soiled grow table. The planar material is non-porous except for a drain. Above the planar material is a plate layer including at least two layers of runners arranged in a grid where each successive layer is offset at an angle with respect to the grid of a previous layer. The plate layer rests upon the non-porous material. An upper layer covers the plate layer and has a plurality of holes. A roller table is provided for slideably supporting the grow table. Nozzles are positioned over the grow table and is/are interfaced to a pump for receiving and spraying liquid from the pump downwardly towards the grow table. The liquid and impurities (e.g., soil, leaves) fall to the upper layer and through the plurality of holes for cleaning and filtering the liquid before the liquid is returned to the pump.
Multiple Inlets Cyclo-Hydrocyclone Separator
A multiple inlets cyclo-filtration hydrocyclone separator includes a separator body having an upper body part and a lower body part narrower than the upper body part in diameter; at least two feeders connected helically to the upper body part from a lateral side for feeding in a raw liquid; an upstream outlet disposed axially within the separator body, having an upper part projecting upward and axially from the upper body part and a lower part extending into the lower body part; a downstream outlet attached axially to the lower body part in spatially communication therewith; and a filtering unit disposed axially within an inner wall confining the upstream outlet. The filtering unit has an upper part projecting upwardly and outwardly from a top end of the upstream outlet and a lower part extending into the downstream outlet. The filtering unit consists of a filtering membrane having an inner wall confining the filtering member.
Fiber-reinforced aircraft component and aircraft comprising same
An air inlet deflector for a structure having an air inlet. The deflector may be retractable within the structure, may be integrally formed with the structure, and may prevent the structure from ingesting foreign matter, such as birds. The deflector may include a series of ribs, spokes, or vanes that may vary in width and/or thickness from fore to aft, and/or may be curvilinear in one or more planes of view, and/or may serve double duty as inlet vanes for redirecting inlet air.
Recirculation filter for an enclosure
The technology disclosed herein relates to filter assemblies and methods of making filter assemblies. One filter assembly has a first sheet of filter media having a first perimeter region and a second sheet of filter media having a second perimeter region. The first perimeter region and the second perimeter region are bonded in a rim region. A plurality of adsorbent beads are disposed between the first sheet of filter media and the second sheet of filter media, and a substantial portion of the plurality of adsorbent beads are unbonded. Other embodiments are also described.
