System and method for cultivating plants
A system for storing and cultivating plants and enhancing usable area, space or volume is provided. One or more racks are provided for housing plants, such as potted plants, in arrays extending in at least a vertical direction. Lighting is provided to provide ultraviolet and infrared radiation in the system. At least one rack is selectively moveable with respect to at least one lighting element, such that proximity between plants and at least one lighting element may be selectively varied.
AIR PURIFYING UNIT, AIR PURIFYING DEVICE AND AIR PURIFYING ASSEMBLY
An air purifying unit (52) includes a soil container (8) containing soil (5), an air flow generator (3) for drawing air from outside of the air purifying unit (52), through the soil (5) in the soil container (8), and out of the air purifying unit (52), and an automatic nutrient delivery system for delivering a nutrient to the soil (5).
Horticulture apparatus and method
A horticulture apparatus and method for planting, growing, and harvesting plants may include a platform having a width axis and a length axis, a gantry sized to straddle and move across at least one of the platform's width and length axes, and a controller. The gantry may comprise a frame, a motor mounted to the frame, a container bin operatively connected to the frame, and a modular tool operatively connected to the frame. The controller may engage the motor of the gantry to move the gantry across the platform, thereby providing the modular tool with access to different locations on the platform.
PORTABLE APPARATUS FOR GROWING VEGETATION
A cabinet for growing plants has a divider. The divider hermetically separates a plant space of the cabinet from a control space of the cabinet. The divider has a plant side, a control side, and electro-magnetic radiation (EMR) emitters, mounted on the plant side of the divider. The EMR emitters are adapted to EMR frequencies primarily at or near visible light. There is a vent in the divider. A fan pulls air through the vent. A microprocessor controls the fan and the EMR emitters.
APPARATUS FOR CULTIVATING PLANTS
An apparatus for cultivating plants includes a cabinet having a cultivation space, a temperature control device provided in the cabinet to adjust a temperature of the cultivation space, a door configured to open and close the cultivation space, a cultivation shelf provided in the cabinet and configured to seat a seed package, a lighting device provided in the cabinet to radiate light onto the cultivation shelf, and a water supply pipe provided in the cabinet to supply water to the cultivation shelf. The cultivation shelf includes a shelf tray that supports the seed package, a shelf base provided under the shelf tray to accommodate the water supplied from the water supply pipe, and a shutter provided to be openable on the seat. The water accommodated into the shelf base is introduced to the inside of the seat by passing through the shutter when the shutter is opened.
HYDRATION SYSTEM FOR AN INDOOR GARDEN CENTER AND A METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
An indoor gardening appliance includes a liner defining a grow chamber and a grow module rotatably mounted within the grow chamber and defining a root chamber. A hydration system is fluidly coupled to the root chamber for selectively implementing a hydration cycle where the root chamber is charged with mist and an air circulation system selectively urges a flow of air through the root chamber to maintain a desired temperature. A controller is configured for stopping the flow of air during the hydration cycle, e.g., to minimize disruption of the hydration cycle. The stopping of the flow of air may be time-based, e.g., based on the start/end times of the hydration cycle, or may be based on moisture level, e.g., as measured by an optical sensor.
SABBATH MODE FOR AN INDOOR GARDEN CENTER
A gardening appliance and method of operation during Jewish holidays is provided herein. The indoor gardening appliance includes a liner defining a grow chamber and a grow module rotatably mounted within the grow chamber for receiving a plurality of plant pods. A controller may be configured for determining a Jewish holiday, such as the Sabbath, and may selectively control the indoor gardening appliance according to an operation routine for the Jewish holiday.
Multifunction infrared induction water sprinkler
A multifunctional infrared induction water sprinkler includes a water inlet pipe (10), an infrared induction control device (20) connected with the water inlet pipe (10), and a water outlet device (30), wherein the water outlet device (30) is connected with the infrared induction control device (20) through a universal joint (301); the infrared induction control device (20) includes an infrared pyroelectric probe, a pre-amplifier, a central processing unit, an electromagnetic valve actuator and an electromagnetic valve which are connected in sequence, and further includes an irrigating/repelling selection controller, a sprinkling duration regulator and a sprinkling interval regulator which are connected with the central processing unit. The multifunctional infrared induction water sprinkler can effectively repel animals to protect gardens, lawns and nursery gardens against damage and can also automatically spray water to irrigate gardens, lawns, nursery gardens and the like, and water resources can be saved.
Modular vertical agriculture assembly to support vegetative growth in the vertical plane
A modular assembly is disclosed to support, feed, and water live vegetative growth on an inclined or vertical surface, using a series of horizontally mounted troughs affixed to an impervious backing panel.
