The invention uses recyclable materials, reduces the mixing action time and/or the need to mix large quantities of liquids, guarantees the safety of things and people in the work area and is easily transportable due to its ergonomic and compact shape. The device comprises a body (10) capable of resisting impacts; a hermetic sealing system (12) to protect the contents; a coupling system (16); a sensor or a level gauge (17) connected, possibly where the working environment allows it, to an alarm system (14), suitable to warn the operator of the exhaustion of the additive by means of a luminous LED signal.
HUMIDIFYING APPARATUS
A humidifying apparatus includes a nozzle and a base on which the nozzle is mounted. The nozzle has respective first and second air inlets, air outlets and interior passages for conveying air therefrom and thereto. The nozzle defines a bore through which air outside the humidifying apparatus is drawn by air emitted from the air outlets. The base generates first and second air flows through the respective first and second interior passages, and a water reservoir. First and second air passageways convey the first and second air flows to the respective first and second air inlets. As the second air passageway conveys the second air flow over the water in the reservoir, water stored in the reservoir is agitated. An ultraviolet radiation generator irradiates the agitated water for a period of time before water stored in the reservoir is atomized to increase the humidity of the second air flow.
FRAGRANCE DELIVERY SYSTEM
A fragrance dispensing system for an aircraft that includes a fuselage defining a cabin interior and an environmental control system (ECS). The ECS includes a source of air that moves air between the source of air and the cabin interior along an airflow path, a mixer unit in airflow communication with the source of air and positioned downstream from the source of air in the airflow path, at least a first air duct positioned in the airflow path between the mixer unit and the cabin interior, and a fragrance dispensing unit positioned between the air source and the cabin interior along the airflow path. The fragrance dispensing unit is configured to dispense at least a first fragrance into the airflow path.

LOCKING MEMBER, MIXING TIP, AND DOUBLE SYRINGE
[Object]
To make it possible to firmly fix a mixing tip to a cartridge, and also remove the mixing tip from the cartridge by a simple operation.
[Solution Means]
A locking member locks a mixing nozzle coupled to a cartridge that includes two syringes, the mixing nozzle being configured to mix materials in a nozzle and discharge the materials, the locking member including a support rod supported by the mixing nozzle so as to be displaceable in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the nozzle extends; a first engaging part that is engaged with one of two horizontal parts that are provided so as to be bridged across the two syringes; a second engaging part that is inserted in between the two horizontal parts and engaged with another one of the two horizontal parts; and an inclined part where the other end of the support rod is inclined toward the opposite side to the nozzle, the inclined part being provided in at least one of between the first engaging part and the second engaging part and between the second engaging part and the other end of the support rod.
Method and liquid mixing system for providing a liquid mixture
A method as well as a liquid mixing system for providing a liquid mixture of water with at least one additive. The liquid mixing system comprises a first water reservoir, a first additive reservoir, a mixing unit, a conveying device and a line network. At least one first measurement value of the flow of the first additive conveyed to a mixing device is determined by an additive flowmeter. The total stream of the liquid mixture conveyed by the conveying device is measured by a liquid mixture flowmeter. The determined measurement values are transmitted to a control device, and from there passed on to a data storage device where they are stored.

Microfluidic free interface diffusion techniques
A static fluid and a second fluid are placed into contact along a microfluidic free interface and allowed to mix by diffusion without convective flow across the interface. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the fluids are static and initially positioned on either side of a closed valve structure in a microfluidic channel having a width that is tightly constrained in at least one dimension. The valve is then opened, and no-slip layers at the sides of the microfluidic channel suppress convective mixing between the two fluids along the resulting interface. Applications for microfluidic free interfaces in accordance with embodiments of the present invention include, but are not limited to, protein crystallization studies, protein solubility studies, determination of properties of fluidics systems, and a variety of biological assays such as diffusive immunoassays, substrate turnover assays, and competitive binding assays.
