Adapter for use in a planetary mixer
A dispensing container and adapter system for use with a planetary mixer is disclosed. The dispensing container has a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The dispensing container may include a nozzle and a removable cap to cover the nozzle. The removable cap may have a first width dimension measured along the transverse axis. The dispensing container may include a body having a second width dimension measured along the transverse axis. An adapter may receive the dispensing container. The adapter may include a cavity to receive the removable cap. The cavity may have a cavity width that exceeds the first width dimension. The adapter may also include a recess for receiving a portion of the dispensing container. The recess may extend from the cavity. At least a portion of the recess may have a width dimension smaller than both the first width dimension and the second width dimension.
METHOD OF REBLENDING AT LEAST TWO PHASES OF A FLOWABLE MATERIAL AND THE USE IN SUCH A METHOD OF A RECEIVING CONTAINER HAVING AN INSERTABLE INSERT
The invention relates to a method of reblending at least two phases of a flowable material, wherein the flowable material is disposed in a receiving container and wherein the receiving container comprises a receiving volume for the flowable material as well as a removable lid by means of which the receiving volume can be closed in a sealed manner and wherein an air-filled head space exists within the receiving volume between the flowable material received in the receiving volume and the lid; as well as to the use in such a method of a receiving container having an insertable insert.
ROTATING VACUUM TANK AND METHOD
A vacuum tank with a rear door, and air and material hoses connectable to the tank door. The tank is rotatable, while the door remains stationary. Liquid, particulate, or slurry material can be vacuumed into the rotating tank, without twisting the hoses. Additional water and/or drying agent can be added to the tank to create a slurry mixture, which can then be discharged from the tank at a convenient dump or work site. The tank may be mounted on a truck, trailer, or frame for transport to a job site and the dump or work site. In an alternative embodiment, the tank may be tilted end-to-end between fill and discharge positions.

Cyclonic flow-inducing pump
Disclosed cyclonic flow-inducing pumps overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions that arise from flow of certain types of materials through a material flow conduit. Such cyclonic flow-inducing pumps provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile such as, for example, increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated adverse considerations such as slugging.

Multi-axis mixing
A multi-axis mixing apparatus is disclosed that includes a housing and a controller operatively connected to a first motor and a second motor. The apparatus includes a frame supporting the first motor configured to selectively rotate a rotatable assembly. The rotatable assembly supports and provides an operative connection to the second motor configured to selectively rotate a rotatable sub-assembly. The rotatable sub-assembly includes a mechanism configured to receive and hold a container containing contents to be mixed, and the controller is configured to independently operate the first and second motors to mix the contents.
CONTAINER FOR MANUALLY MIXING CONTENTS THEREIN
A container for manually mixing contents therein includes a base and a lid, and when formed has a first horizontal axis, a second horizontal axis, and a vertical axis that is perpendicular to the horizontal axes. The base defines an elliptic-shaped base opening and a base chamber having two conjugate diameters D.sub.1 and D.sub.2 proximate the base opening. The lid defines an elliptic-shaped lid opening and a lid chamber having the two conjugate diameters D.sub.1 and D.sub.2 proximate the lid opening. The diameter D.sub.1 extends in a direction of the first horizontal axis and the diameter D.sub.2 extends in a direction of the second horizontal axis. A ratio of D.sub.1 to D.sub.2 is greater than 1. The container also includes grips for manually mixing the contents within the base and lid chambers by rotating the container about the second horizontal axis.
