Mobile water treatment and resin transfer hub
A system and method for providing mobile or temporary water treatment involving ion exchange resins includes a service center, one or more treatment vehicles, a resin transfer hub and one or more resin transport vehicles. The service center can be used to regenerate one or more types of ion exchange resins. The treatment vehicle carries water treatment equipment including a tank holding ion exchange resin. The resin transfer hub facilitates moving resin between a treatment vehicle and a resin transport vehicle. The resin transport vehicle is adapted for carrying resin by one or more of land, sea and air between the resin forwarding center and the service center. In operation, a treatment vehicle brings resin requiring regeneration to the resin transfer hub, where it is emptied and then re-filled with regenerated resin. Resin requiring regeneration is transferred to a resin transport vehicle for transport to the service center. The resin transport vehicle is re-filled there with regenerated resin, which is taken back to the resin transfer hub for transferred to a treatment vehicle.
Treated ion exchange resins, method of making, assemblies and heat transfer systems containing the same, and method of use
Disclosed is a pre-treated ion exchange resin comprising at least 15% by total number of exchangeable groups comprising at least one of an ion, or a Lewis acid, or a Lewis base resulting from a heat transfer fluid component having a pK.sub.a or pK.sub.b of greater than 5 in an aqueous solution at 25 C., based on the total number of exchangeable groups. In one embodiment, the heat transfer fluid component is at least one of a colorant, a corrosion inhibitor, an antifoaming agent, a bitterant, a dispersant, or a combination thereof. In one embodiment, the heat transfer fluid component comprises a heat transfer fluid corrosion inhibitor. Also disclosed are heat transfer systems, assemblies, fuel cell systems and methods of maintaining a conductivity of less than 200 S/cm in a heat transfer fluid that employ the disclosed pre-treated ion exchange resins.
Production process of film and column for cation chromatography
One object of the present invention is to produce a weakly acidic cation exchanger under mild conditions. Another object of the present invention is to produce a more firm weakly acidic cation exchange film. Still another object of the present invention is to provide a weakly acidic cation exchanger capable of realizing high-level separation of monovalent cation and simultaneously analyzing monovalent cation and divalent cation and also provide a chromatography column using the ion exchanger. In the production method of a weakly acidic cation exchanger of the invention, a solvent incapable of dissolving a polymer having a double bond within the molecule is used and the weakly acidic cation exchanger is produced by polymerization at temperature of 100 C. or less.
AIR COLLECTOR WITH FUNCTIONALIZED ION EXCHANGE MEMBRANE FOR CAPTURING AMBIENT CO2
An apparatus for capture of CO.sub.2 from the atmosphere comprising an anion exchange material formed in a matrix exposed to a flow of the air.

ION EXCHANGER FILTER ASSEMBLY AND CONNECTION PIPE
An ion exchanger filter assembly to be flowed through by liquid to be filtered has at least two ion exchanger units, each provided with a housing with an inlet socket and an outlet socket. An inlet-side fluid connection and an outlet-side fluid connection connect the ion exchanger units to each other. The inlet sockets are connected in fluid communication to the inlet-side fluid connection and the outlet sockets to the outlet-side fluid connection. The ion exchanger units are arranged to provide parallel flow along a flow path. Each flow path has a section through the inlet-side fluid connection, a section through the ion exchanger unit, and a section through the outlet-side fluid connection for uniform flow therethrough. Either all flow paths have a same length or have a same flow resistance. A connection pipe for such a filter assembly.
